It’s Sunday! And on Sunday’s I always like to have a bigger breakfast so I won’t need anything else during the rest of the day. This usually means I spoil myself rotten: croissants, bacon, eggs, or, like today, French toast. It’s quick, easy, fills you up for hours and most importantly: it’s incredibly yummy! It’s probably my favorite breakfast food out there. Here’s how to make it.
- bread (left over bread is best! You can make this by leaving your bread out in the open)
- milk
- granulated sugar
- cinnamon
- 1 egg
- butter
- deep plate
- skillet (not pictured)
Optional ingredient: fresh fruit!
Here’s how you make it (for 4 slices of bread):
1.) Pour some milk into the deep plate. You just need enough milk to cover the bottom of your plate twice for 4 slices of bread.
2.) Break the egg and add it to the milk. Carefully whisk the egg into the milk.
3.) Add sugar. I just shake my container over the plate and cover it once. Does the trick.
4.) Add cinnamon. I like to add tons. Just add to taste.
5.) Put some butter in the skillet and make sure the pan is nice and hot.
6.) Soak a slice of bread in the milk mixture. Make sure to get both sides.
7.) Fry the bread in the pan on both sides. And put on a plate.
8.) Repeat till all bread is gone.
You’ll hopefully end up with something like this:
