Shopping Haul #2: Sephora, Lush, Bobbi Brown, Essence, Catrice, etc.

Like I said yesterday, I also bought some beauty related items on my shopping spree. I was looking for a few things in particular, but of course you always come across more that you also want to try. Here are the things I bought:

Atrix Aloe Vera hand cream

One of the very few things posted here that I actually needed. My favorite hand cream (carried by my pharmacy) isn’t there anymore, as the pharmacy changed companies. So, I had to find a new one. I tried a few and love love love this one. It’s think and smell delicious. I love lathering this on my hands before I go to sleep.

Sephora Waterproof Eye Make Up remover, Lush Sweet Pie Shower Jelly, Lush Almond & Coconut Smoothie shower cream

I really needed the make up remover as I nearly ran out of mine. I’ve tried several different ones in the past few months but I really love the Sephora one and with a 20% discount this wasn’t even too expensive. I also ran out of my Swoosh shower jelly from Lush. So I initially went in there to rebuy it. However, they were out of stock, so I went with a different smell instead. Sweetie Pie smells like cherries and coconut, is purple and has blue sparkles. They promised me the sparkles would wash off… The shower cream is new to me so I still have to try it, but it smelled and felt delicious!

Lush sugar scrub with ginger

I love Lush’ sugar scrubs. I already tried the green one, so now it’s time for the white one. I like the smell of this a whole lot more so that’s a good start!

Catrice I’m a Star, Catrice I Wear My Sunglasses at Night

Nail polish! Of course! I cannot go shopping without buying some nail polish it seems. The first one is a nice earthy toned gold color. The second one is a dark purple with different colored sparkles. I generally like Catrice polishes so I’m sure I’ll love these too.

Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Shimmer Ink Ivy

Another thing I had set out to buy was a dark green eyeliner. I hate liquid liners and I had read online MAC had a limited edition in their Mac Me Over collection. Of course they had run out of that one as the collection has been out for some time, but then I walked past the Bobbi Brown counter and found this magnificent green color. It is amazing: it’s exactly the color I want it to be and I’ve heard great things about Bobby Brown gel eyeliners so let’s see how much I like it. I might do a review on this some time soon.

Catrice Gel Eyeliner in In Love with a Robot, Essence Gel Eyeliners in: Barefoot Through the Moss, Berlin Rocks, I Love NYC.

Two stores later I found that Essence has included a great dark green color in their collection. And they had a moss green colored liner in their limited edition line called NATvent Urista. Another color liner I wanted to try was purple and since Essence is so budget proof I decided to take that one with me as well. When I then found a great silver liner by Catrice I couldn’t pass up on that.

As you can see I went on a bit of a gel liner kick. I’m curious to see how well the cheap ones work and I can’t wait to try the Lush shower cream. Is there anything here you’d be curious to try?

  1. I haven’t tried any gel eyeliners yet but I hate liquid ones for the most part. I end up with it in my eye most of the time!
Starting to get curious about Lush, but not sure quite yet, sensitive skin and a lot of fragrance isn’t always a good combo but I think I will definitely have a look around again, see if I fancy anything.

  2. I need a new eye makeup remover. The Sephora one sounds good, I’ve heard several positive reviews about this one. I have only once tried a gel liner, but I’m more a liquid liner girl. Some people just don’t have the skills to put on gel liner and do great with liquid liner (and I bet the other way around).
