Shoplog: Lush, MAC, Sephora, Zara & more

It’s been a while since I last went shopping. With a new laptop and flights and hotels being booked so I can do some more fun things throughout the year, there wasn’t much money left for a full blow out shopping spree. However, last Thursday I found myself in The Hague for my doctor’s appointment and decided to hit up some stores first. It’s not much, but it’s fun stuff and it didn’t cost me a fortune either. Read on to find out how.

Sephora make up remover, Lush Lemony Flutter & Lush Sweetheart soap

Because this wasn’t just a ‘fun’ shopping spree: there were actually a few things that I had to get. I am running out of make up remover and the one by Sephora is my favorite one. It’s not too oily and it isn’t expensive. This bottle is about 5 euros and it works great. Another thing I needed was Lemony Flutter, or well any kind of cuticle care product really. I had a bottle of nail oil which ran out and since I didn’t like the texture nor the manner of application I decided to go to Lush and get Lemony Flutter. There are many reviews on this product available online, so if you care to read about it I suggest a google search. While at Lush I of course couldn’t resist having a browse and found out they had their new collection out. The Sweetheart soap is part of the Valentine’s Day collection and contains ylang ylang, tangerine and vanilla: a sweet & refreshing scent.

Sennheiser in-ear headphones

Another thing I needed, were new headphones. I broke my old ones before Christmas and had been using a pair of crappy ones ever since. I figured I could just use the headphones that I keep at work. I waited patiently until work started back up on Monday only to find out that my pair of headphones won’t fit into the jack. That’s right! Since The Hague has a large media store I decided to pop in and buy the in-ear headphones which I initially owned. These headphones are great. They are noise cancelling, which means you don’t have to turn up the volume to hear your music but they don’t cancel out everything allowing you to still hear what’s going on around you. I hate being completely secluded from my surroundings when I’m on the go and the in-ear system is great because it is portable and doesn’t take up much space in your bag.

MAC Lustre Lipstick in Lovelorn

My next stop was a big department store: de Bijenkorf. I received a gift card from this store from work as a Christmas bonus and since we don’t have a Bijenkorf where I live I hadn’t been able to spend it yet. I knew I wanted to buy a MAC lipstick and after much consideration and deliberation I decided to go with this creamy pink lipstick. It looks Barbie pink in the picture but it has a bit of a purple undertone making it a cool color with a warm touch to it. I don’t have many cool toned lipsticks and since this one has that hint of purple in it which makes it perfect for me.

Chopard Wish Perfume

Now the first reason why I went to the department store now and not some other time is because in winter, or at least after Christmas all places have huge make up and perfume sales going on. This perfume had been on my wishlist for a while so when I saw it on a table with all the other discounted perfumes I pretty much knew I would have to get it. I was hoping to buy a new fragrance with the gift card from work and there you have it! I love how this smells very fresh yet is still very warm at the same time. Oh and that bottle is just the best.

Hot pink/ fuchsia pants (Zara)

Close up so you can see the color a bit better

One thing on my fashion wishlist was a bright pink pair of pants. I found a pair on the H&M website, but these pants are backordered till March. Not only that, but I also found the color a bit flat. So when I bumped into these babies at Zara, I was over the moon. They are cheaper than the one’s at H&M, since they were on sale and they are made of a stretchy jeans material. I just love the color. This is much more my kind of pink than the H&M pink. It’s as if they were calling my name, not to mention the fact that they are a perfect fit as well.

So that’s it. Like I said, nothing too crazy and some of the stuff I technically didn’t even pay for as my boss did that for me, but hey I got myself some pretty new things if I may say so. But it doesn’t end here. My Asos order should be in soon and I found a dress in the H&M sale which should be coming in some time next week as well. When those have arrived I will make sure to make a post on it as well, if I’m keeping the items that is.

Oh and btw, I took these pictures at night, as I didn’t have time for it otherwise. I used the flashlight app on my phone to provide some extra lighting. It worked out fine on everything except for the jeans.

Are there any fun purchases you made just recently?

  1. Oh I love the pants. They’re gorgeous! My most recent purchase was a Michael Kors bag. I hadn’t done any shopping in quite a while so I decided with my 26+ lbs lost, I could treat myself to a gorgeous handbag 🙂

  2. I love getting a new scent around Christmas or January sale time. This year my mum brought me one for Christmas, so I’m loving that at the moment.

and Yes, shopping/sale haul this week (I was being lazy with taking photos).

  4. Hey!

Stumbled upon your blog while I was searching for Chopard Wish. Could you post some time some more photos of the bottle, I recently was gifted one and i suspect that mine is fake, I have not owned one before therefore I need something to compare mine to. Thank you in advance for your help.

  5. They don’t carry the brand where I live, the smell lasts super long more than 8 hours on my skin…but still i’m not quite sure about the bottle, one would expect a brand like Chopard to have a flawless bottle, which mine is not.

  6. The bottle itself is OK seems to be made from glass, but the silver cap bothers me. It is silver on the outside, but on the inside is has white walls but the bottom is silver, as if the white part came off the bottom, and there is a number on the inside part of the bottom 4. Also the silver thing around the bottle’s neck is that supposed to me some kind of metal or just dyed plastic? Thanks in advance for your help.
Also the batch number on the bottle, is under the silver thing around the neck and it matches the one on the box. Thank you again!
