Fun youtube videos

I thought it would be time to do another round of fun youtube videos. I just recently found a few that I really thought I should share. Some of these you will have seen, others you probably haven’t. They’re all comedy geared vids this time. So enjoy and hope it puts a smile on your face on this dreary looking Saturday (at least here it looks dreary).

Google Maps in 8-bit for NES:

Google made this video as a prank for April fools, so you may have already seen this, but think it’s too hilarious not to share. Unfortunately, they took down the quest button on Maps. That really added to the fun. It turned the entire map into an 8-bit quest map, like on these retro video games. This vid makes me want to break out my SNES and play Yoshi’s Island all over again.

Soundlyawake – Chola Makeup Tutorial by María

I don’t remember how I came across this guy, but I think he’s hilarious. He has videos where he is just himself and pointing out different things, but he also dresses up as different characters. This vid in particular has me laughing every time.

P’Trique C’est Chic – Titanic Trend Watch

P’Trique C’est Chic is quickly becoming a youtube phenomenon. It all started with ‘shit fashion girls say’ and now the guy is doing these hilarious videos regarding fashion. I mean, the fact that he has a full on beard, while talking about fashion in the lingo you often find in fashion mags, is just hilarious. I crack up every time!

Dumb English Spelling

I watch quite a few videos regarding language from time to time. I came across this one via a tweet and thought it was fun. English spelling can be quite daunting and this video shows why. Just watch it till the end to get the joke.

Dave Allen – The Vagaries of the English language

This video is hilarious but at the same time quite educational. I love his use of different accents in this as well as the words he uses and the parallels he draws between different uses of the same concepts across English accents is pretty bang on. And it’s almost 20 years old, but still holds true.

What have you been watching on youtube lately?

  1. I’ve been watching a lot of nails tutorials – well searching for them, so many are this water marbling thing – seriously once you’ve seen how it’s done once… you’ve seen it!
