Fall/ winter lookbook (#5): comfy sweaters & burgundy bottoms

Happy November everybody! And for those who celebrate it: I hope you had a good Halloween. Last week’s lookbook post included a bulky sweater and this week is no different. Comfy bulky sweaters, be it jersey, knit or any other texture are all the rage this season and I’m loving it. Hence I have another chunky sweater, a knit, to show you this time. It is from Urban Outfitters from the Sparkle & Fade brand and I bought it in Berlin. When I posted the shoplog on this sweater, many people seemed to really like this sweater and so I thought it would be apt to show you what it looks like on.

What I’m wearing:

– Cream & black chunky knit sweater (Urban Outfitters)

– Burgundy riding pants/ treggins with faux leather on the side (H&M)

– Burgundy lace up brogues with tassle details (vintage)

As you can tell the outfit is super simple. I kept the bottoms quite uniform because the knit already has quite a bit going on and also the pants has some different textures. Hence the similar colored shoes and pants. The sweater is super warm and comfortable. It consists of two different knit patterns and is perfect for winter.

I bought these shoes at a vintage store in London. They are super worn and they are a size too big, but I wear them with soles so they still fit perfectly. They are real leather though and are very comfortable to walk around in.

Here you can nicely see the two different textures of the sweater: the sleeves have a loser knit than the mid section, which makes for a much more interesting look than just any plain old sweater. Again, full outfit:

What is your take on the sweater trend? Love it? Hate it? And what do you think of the outfit?
