LOTD: au natural casual

Last Friday was a bit of a relaxed day for me. Not because I planned it that way though. I had totally planned on working at home for a few hours before heading out to Amsterdam to go to a work meeting, but unfortunately I didn’t have all the materials I needed to do that. So instead I had some time to take pictures again of that day’s make up look. I also decided to throw in a picture of my outfit as it features my most comfortable cardigan in my entire wardrobe. And for those of you wondering: did I go to the meeting in tweed Converse, fuchsia pants and a slouchy cardigan: yep I did. Hope you enjoy!

Products I used:

Face: MAC Face & Body foundation in C1, MAC Select Moisture Cover concealer in NW15 (mixed with a few drops of Benefit High Beam highlighter), MAC Prep & Prime Transparent pressed finishing powder, Shiseido blush in RD 103.

Brows: MAC eyeshadow in Omega (I hit pan!) & Hema clear browgel

Eyes: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, The Body Shop shimmer cube in chocolate box (light pink and honey colored shadows), The Body Shop eyeshadow in no. 13 (matte white), MAC fluidline in Dipdown, Maybelline One by One Mascara.

Lips: Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie.

I have been trying something new these past few weeks. Instead of using 4 – 5 eyeshadows to create a look I am trying to town it down a bit. What I pretty much do is put my highlight on my browbone, then a light colored matte or shimmery color all over my lid and then a medium to dark color in my crease. I add some eyeliner to darken the lash line. Super simple and quick to boot. I have also been adding some pink liquid highlighter to my MAC concealer to lighten up my under eye area, while still getting the coverage to hide those dark undereye circles.

And last but not least: the outfit. Excuse the horrible blurriness, but it’s the idea that counts. I am wearing a pair of raspberry colored jeans from ZARA, tweed Converse All Star high tops and a beige woolen knit cardigan from H&M with some metallic threads running through it. The cardigan is insanely comfortable. I added a basic gray t-shirt (Forever 21) to add another layer and my pocket watch necklace (Sacha).

What are you wearing today?
