It’s the time of the season… for X-mas music! Now unlike some people I know, I am not the biggest fan of Christmas music. In fact, I’m not a huge fan of Christmas to begin with. I already explained my love/ hate relationship with Christmas in a blog post 2 years ago, so if you’re curious, feel free to read that. This doesn’t mean that I hate Christmas or Christmas music though. I definitely have a few favorites. Curious to see what they are? Keep on reading to find out.
Frank Sinatra – I’ll be home for Christmas
Ah good ole blue eyes. I have a weakness for this man’s voice to begin with, but when he starts singing melancholic Christmas songs it gets even worse.
Louis Armstrong – Cool Yule
I love me the jazzy type of Christmas songs. This one is just so upbeat and fun. It makes me want to dance circles around my Christmas tree.
Slade – Merry Xmas Everybody
Christmas in 70s glam rock style! A classic with the marvelous IT’S Christmas line in the middle. Catchy and oh so cheesy, but oh so good.
Johnny Mathis – It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas
It’s can’t get any more classic than this. If there is one song that can put me right into the Christmas mood, it’s this one.
Mariah Carey – Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town
No, it’s not All I want for Christmas, but her recording of this classic Christmas song that I love most.
What are your favorite Christmas songs?
