World Championship manicure

In case you didn’t know, the world championships soccer are currently being held in Brazil. Whenever the Dutch team plays at these type of international events, a certain frenzy takes a hold of the country. Since I live next to a bar where they show all the matches of the Dutch team, I cannot escape it. So instead of trying my hardest to ignore it, I’ve decided that this year, I’ll just embrace it. I am not one to dig up any orange clothing or whatever, but I do have an extensive nail polish stash which could make a very much Go Holland-proof nail look.

Just in case you didn’t know, the colors of the Dutch flag are red, white and blue. We also have an additional national color, orange, which is always used whenever we compete in sports’ games. I managed to use all those colors in this manicure and used my new L’Oreal topcoat to add a bit of fun.

Products used:

  • Trind nail repair (base coat)
  • Red: Sinful Colors Cross my Heart
  • White: Sephora Coco
  • Blue: Essence Walk on Air
  • Orange: OPI Hot & Spicy
  • Red, white & blue speckles: L’Oreal Color Riche Independence Day
  • Sally Hansen Insta-dry topcoat

I think this is a fun little manicure. It’s simple, it’s quick and super easy to make. I did this manicure on Friday and posted it on Instagram, joking that if I paint my nails for the match, we would surely win against Spain. And I think my juju worked, because we won. So now I may have to keep this going for a while, to keep the good luck going.

Did you paint your nails for the World Championships?
