Tuned up Thursday: Music of the Moment (July 2015)

It’s nearing the end of July already and that means it’s time for me to share my monthly music favorites with you again. I wasn’t sure whether I should wait with this another week, but then I found so many songs I liked, that I figured I had gathered enough music to share with you already. Most of this is very chilled out and laidback. Many of these songs fall into the category of chillwave. I find myself going back to chillwave type music for most of summer as these types of songs always enhance that relaxed summer vibe to the fullest.

Attom – Cruise

You know I love my chilled out tracks and this is just that. Perfect song for summer.

C Duncan – Say

What do you get if you mix Chet Faker type vocals with a chilled out, easy going poppy track? Why this brilliant song by C Duncan of course!

emune – moonchild (ft. Heir Raid)

More chillwave galore. Quite possibly one of the most laid back tracks in a while.

Fyfe – Solace

Catchy track with poppy chillwave vibe and that eerie guitar riff near the end.

Lauv – The Other

A more laidback version of Ed Sheeran. With silky vocals like Sam Smith. But the catchiness of a George Ezra song. Nuff said.

Maiday – Wish You’d Met Me First

I shared another track by Maiday last month and this month I have been quite obsessed with the dark,  moody and drony tunes of this song.

Mura Masa – Firefly (feat. Nao)

Time for a happy note!

Summer Heart – Sleep

Summer. Heart. Those two words perfectly describe this song.

Tei Shi – Go Slow

Mixture of R&B and pop with an indie vibe.

Waveless – Numb (ft. Mothica)

Another laidback track that makes you feel or dreamy

What tracks have you been digging?
