Chatty make up look

I got a new camera and a new eye shadow palette, so I figured: why not make a video using my new camera and palette and see what happens. So on a lazy Saturday, I decided to set up the camera and film a full face make up look and present it to you in real time as much as possible. I had to edit out some parts because the auto focus was bugging me or because I was out of frame or simply long-winded, but please watch this video if you like to see me create a make up look from start to finish, without any speeding up, that I would wear to work.

The decision to film this video was a bit spur of the moment, hence my less than perfect appearance. I work out on Saturdays and I usually spend the day on the couch watching TV series or doing a bit of reading. I was in my sweatpants and cozy cardigan for this video and I thought I’d keep it real and just film it as is.

I wanted to use this opportunity to show you some of my new found make up techniques. One of which, my new contour and highlighting routine, I already wrote about on Monday. But that is not all, I also have a new way of applying blush and powder. To make things even more fresh and new, I am also using the Anastasia Beverly Hills World Traveler Shadow Couture eye shadow palette for the very first time in this video. I swatched it before, but I hadn’t actually used it to create any looks just yet.

Watch the video to find out what I think of the palette, how I use all of these products and brushes and how I do my make up on most days of the week.

I hope you have a great weekend and let me know whether you like this type of video. I am aware it’s not perfect and there is room for improvement, but I am curious to know what type of videos you would like me to make.

Enjoy your Saturday!
