Exciting news! I finally felt better yesterday and when I got ready, I decided to go all out and create this Christmas make up look featuring lots of new products I had only swatched so far. Some of the items will be familiar to you, as I incorporated all the items (minus the false lashes) I bought at Hema last Saturday. I already showed them to you here. Some of these you may not have seen yet, but they are on my current ‘to review’ list. On to the look!

For a look that I had not planned out at all, I think this turned out to be a wonderful look. To say I am proud of myself, would be an understatement. Especially since I felt so poorly over the weekend, it is extra rewarding to create a make up look that simply works. Have a look at the video to see how I created it!
This make up look is all about the eyes and that is how I like my make up looks best. I love going all out with different eye shadows and it was lovely to play around with a ton of new products. I used a lighter shade all over the lid and then built up my crease using a few different shades. The star of the show here is a burgundy shade with gold glitter from one of my latest purchases: the I Heart Make Up I Heart Chocolate eye shadow palette. The shade called Love Torn, is an absolute stunner on the lid and works great for deepening up this look.
To finish things off I created a liner by wetting a small angled brush and lined my eyes with the darkest shade in the Rosé Brown trio by Hema. For that extra festive cheer, I topped it up with that glitter liner I showed you on Monday as well. The trick I used for creating this look is by pulling a straight line from the outer corner of your pulled up shadow (much like you would a flick when you apply liquid liner) to the inside of your eye. This gives a cat eye shape on deep set eyes like mine and I absolutely love it. I wish I had more time in the mornings so I could wear something like this every day.
Of course I had to try the HEMA Soft Matt Lip Balm straight away as well. In some lights it looks a little bit brighter but it certainly is a slightly deeper toned red with hints of orange and brown: a perfect brick red. If you would want to make this lip look extra glam you could apply a little bit of gold metallic eye shadow in the center of the lip for a bit of extra glow.

Instead of simply giving you a list of products, I decided to snap some pictures to show you. In the video you will also have seen me holding up Naked Basics 1. I pull out my Basics palettes when I know I will be needing some neutral matte shade. I usually decide on the spot which shade would be best, so I didn’t end up using the Naked Basics palette after all. I will link to previous articles where possible.

I hope you enjoyed this make up look. I definitely loved making it. I know the video is a bit blurry at times, however my camera’s autofocus is really finicky and I am still trying to get the hang of it. I hope you don’t mind and have a great day!
What make up are you wearing this Christmas?
