5 last minute Christmas outfits

Are you facing Christmas outfit stress? Then don’t worry, because I am here to help you out. I decided to put 5 outfits together that would be perfect for any Christmas and New Year’s Eve party occasion. I make a point of keeping a few items in my wardrobe that are especially good around the Holiday season, which means I will always have something to wear. So rather than going round and buying myself a brand new outfit each year, I keep things simple and simply shop my own wardrobe.

Sparkle it up!

Silver sequin tunic | Pieces
Navy & black chiffon skirt | Vila
Pointed stiletto heels | Manfield

Let’s start with my favorite outfit shall we? Both of the main items in this outfit I have had for years. The skirt I actually remember buying on sale when I was in my early twenties, which means I must have had it for at least 10 years. The sequin tunic was one of those items I had to have a good think about. It’s not the most flattering piece on, but with a skirt layered on top it makes for one festive touch. To not overdo it, I just kept the shoes simple and went with a plain black heel.

LDB

Black lace dress | Primark
Embroidered boots | Asos

You cannot go wrong with a little black dress at any sort of occasion, so Christmas is no exception. Since just a black dress is  very basic, I would jazz up this outfit with plenty of accessories. By adding a touch of bling you can make any outfit works it seems. Since I haven’t been into necklaces and all that lately I decided to go for a different way of adding some interest: by adding a pair of embroidered boots. Bought these in the Black Friday sales on Asos and have been loving them ever since. I will definitely wear these this Christmas.

Black & White

White lace peplum top | H&M
Black trousers | H&M
Black barely there heels | Asos

Not into skirts and dresses? No worries, you can also look festive and dressed up in a pair of pants and a nice top. I opted for a black and white outfit. Again, keeping it simple, but not boring. The black trousers are a great staple to have in any case. The white peplum top has an interesting texture with it being part lace and has of course that flirty flared out bit at the bottom. To keep it classy I opted for a pair of heels that add a bit of sexiness to the outfit. Perfect for a work party.

Metallic & shine

Black scallop edge t-shirt | Topshop
Black sequin shorts | Vila
Silver brogues | Asos

Yes, I own a pair of silver shoes and I love how perfect they are for the Holiday season. I kept the rest of the outfit all black to truly set off the shoes. Of course, there needs to be some interest and texture and so I dug the sequin short from the depths of my wardrobe. Again, not a piece I wear on the regular, but I love the look of them with a pair of tights and a fun pair of shoes.

The Christmas Sweater

Christmas sweater | H&M
Glitter skirt | H&M
Patent leather shoes | Dr. Marten’s

This is the Christmas outfit I wore last year. My mom had this grant idea to show up to my family’s Christmas gathering in Christmas sweaters and so we did. I bought this sequined number from H&M and paired it with a glitter wrap around style skirt. When I wore this, I paired it with the silver Asos shoes from the previous outfit, but I can imagine that most people would find that a bit too much. So I paired it with my patent Dr. Marten’s instead.

There you have it: lots of Christmas outfit inspiration.
What are you wearing this Christmas?

    • Thank you! I ended up wearing the skirt from the first outfit with a black blouse to my office Christmas party. The dress code said gold and sadly I don’t own any other clothing pieces with gold details.
