My favorite tea mugs

Anyone who knows me, knows I love my tea. Sure I like a cup of joe ever so often, especially now that we have a proper barista style espresso machine at work, but I’m a tea girl at heart. Which means I’ve tried many different teas, from chocolate to matcha, and from Lapsang to gunpowder green, with only a few making it into my top 10. Apart from teas, however, I also have a few favorite accessories to use when drinking those teas. Today I’m showing you my favorite tea mugs!

The selection of mugs I’m about to show you is a collection that is fairly random. Most of these I just bought because they looked cute, only to find out how practical they are. From huge mugs that allow you to rehydrate in minutes, to insulated tea glasses that allow you to warm your hands while enjoying a cuppa: I have everything and far in between.

Ravenclaw mug (Harry Potter Studios London)

In case you didn’t know, I’m a Ravenclaw in the Harry Potter universe and my friend knew that when he visited London last summer. He bought me this ginormous mug as a belated birthday present. This mug is great now that it’s winter as it is huge, bulky and allows you to stay warm all at the same time. Plus it’s Harry Potter related. Can’t beat that!

‘Tea is the answer who cares what the question is’  (Xenos)

I own two of these mugs because I thought they were hilarious. They aren’t the best quality mug out there, but nevertheless they get the job done. Xenos and many other places do mugs like these with different type of drinks on them. So if you’re more into coffee or hot chocolate, then they’ve got you covered.

‘It’s your day’ (Hema)

Hema does a range of these types of mugs with little signs and saying. Most of them I find a bit meh and cliché but this one I love. Sort of a carpe diem type vibe, which is great to use when you’re starting your day. I use this mostly for coffee though, as I already have to many tea mugs in use, but I initially bought it to have a morning tea.

cupcake mug (Lily’s Cupcake)

I don’t even remember how I got my hands on this mug. But it’s the best tea mug ever. It is just the right size: not too big, not too small and it is very easy to clean. That’s how you can tell whether you have a good tea mug! If you can easily clean it, without leaving too much residue behind then you know the quality is there. Sadly I only have one of these.

I <3 Tea (Xenos)

Technically this isn’t a mug of course, but you can forgive me that minor detail right? Because this is one of the best tea containers ever. It is insulated with double glass, which means you don’t burn your fingers. Instead, this glass keeps your hands nicely warm and toasty on a cold winter’s day. It can be tricky though as it is hard to tell whether your tea is at drinking temperature or not, but I love using this while marathoning Netflix series.

Do you have a favorite tea mug?
Or am I just a bit loony?

  1. I love the Harry Potter tea mug! I’d love to get that someday for myself too. Also, hi fellow Ravenclaw! Lol. I drink my tea from Ittala mugs. They are aprox 400ml big with a comfy handle and style. Plus the pattern itself is quite pretty.

Echt heel fijn!
