Skincare favorites

I am pretty loyal to my skincare items, which is why I thought it was a good time to take you through some of my long time favorites. These items never leave my shelves and even when I am not using them at the moment, I always ensure to keep a backup around just in case. Plus, all of these products have popped up in several empty product videos as well. These are my top 5 longstanding skincare favorites.

Lush Angels on Bare Skin – Could this product have been the first ever review on this blog? It certainly is one of the oldest ones! I reviewed it in this blog post in 2011. And I am still using it. After all those years, I haven’t found anything that does what this does, so I continue to use it. It is gentle, yet gives a good cleanse and makes my skin feel and look great. I honestly couldn’t imagine my skincare routine without it.

Garnier Micellar Water – I love a good micellar water and the Garnier one is my favorite. It is affordable (and pretty much always on sale too!) and the bottle is huge. I love how versatile it is: from taking off your makeup, to a quick in-the-morning cleanse, this product is a good one. I wrote a full review here and also love the oil infused version which I reviewed here.

Garnier Waterproof Eye Make Up Remover – In general I like Garnier’s cleansing products and I have sworn by their eyemakeup remover for years now. I tried a couple to compare, but I just kept coming back to it. What I love is how easily it takes off everything, even the more difficult to remove products. I do tend to go through them quite quickly, but again this is on sale a lot which means you never have to pay full price. I reviewed it here.

The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner – Another oldie but a goodie! I always, always keep a backup of this. I mostly use micellar water now, but I still like a good toner from time to time and this one by The Body Shop is one of the best ones on the market. It is gentle, non-irritating and even approved by skincare experts as being exceptionally well-suited to people with sensitive skins. It is alcohol free and doesn’t leave your skin feeling taut and tight. A full review can be found here.

Olay/ Olaz Total Effects Moisturizer –  Has this been discontinued? I can’t seem to find this anywhere anymore, but that doesn’t phase me from labeling it one of my favorite products. This moisturizer works both day and night, has an SPF of 15 and leaves my skin feeling moisturized without feeling greasy. It is easily absorbed by the skin and works well under make up in the day, yet nourishes the skin plenty during the night. A great one-stop-shop that will be sorely missed if i can no longer find it. I reviewed it here.
