Personal update

Normally there would be a video up on Sunday, but unfortunately, that was not feasible this week for several reasons. In this blog post I will briefly address why and will update you on some goings on in my life right now.  

Personal update

As I told you in last week’s video, I just moved and while great and all that (thanks for all those lovely comments too!) it has taken its toll. Three weeks of continuous DIY, packing and unpacking of boxes and putting together furniture left me quite exhausted and then I went back to work. Adjusting to a new home and a new city while everything else just continues has been stressful at times, but I’m doing well considering everything.

Getting used to the new situation has been difficult, mainly because home doesn’t feel like home yet. I just haven’t been home enough to make it feel that way yet. I have been busy, besides work, with going back and forth to my old home, running necessary errands and doing fun stuff too. So I just haven’t been home enough to really make this place feel like my own little corner of the world.

Add to that the fact that I left my work computer at the train station the other day and now my laptop is having issues booting properly: in short, getting content up has been quite the feat. My laptop is now working for a brief spell and I just managed to salvage all of my files, but I don’t think it will last very long. It seems to be a problem with my video drivers, which have been acting up for a while. This means that video editing is kind of out of the question.

Regular blogs should still be okay as I have another laptop (which is even older and slower than this one, but still in running order) that I can use for that. Video editing on that thing however, will be impossible, which is why, until further notice I will not be able to post new video content until I get a new laptop. At this point in time, I can only hope my computer will continue to work a few weeks longer. Maybe I can use my work laptop to do some heavy lifting in the mean time, but that all depends on whether I do not lose it another time. 😉 Just know that if any content is late, or not happening at all, that I haven’t had the tools to make it happen.
