Favorite liquid lipsticks

I am not over the liquid lipstick trend. I just love a lipstick that lasts all day and doesn’t need any touching up. Especially in the spring and summer time, liquid lipsticks are my go to. The lipsticks won’t bleed, come in unusual colors and wear all day. These are my 7 favorite liquid lipsticks, both in color and formula.

When it comes to liquid lipsticks, what is leading to make it to my favorites is the formula, how quick it dries and the staying power. Shade ranges and comfort are also part of it, but for me that is secondary for liking a liquid lipstick. I like unusual lipstick shades to try and not all the shades here are your standard nude, red or pink as well. And all the ranges here include quite some unusual shades. When it comes to comfort, I am not too worried. I like a super matte, drying formula as it means my lipstick looks good all day.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Double Dare – When it comes to high end liquid lipsticks, Kat Von D were my favorites. The line is inconsistent: not every shade is as good and so it does mean you have to choose wisely. Double Dare is my favorite shade: it is a nude, but with a brown/ red undertone. It is incredibly flattering on and one of the best liquid lipsticks from the line.

Ofra Liquid Lipstick Charmed – Charmed is part of the MannyMUA line within the Ofra range. Ofra’s liquid lipsticks have long been listed as one of the best liquid lipsticks on the market and that is absolutely right. The applicator is precise, the dry down is matte, but not too uncomfortable and the shades are great. This is one of my favorite nude liquid lipsticks.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Veronica – The OG liquid lipstick formula must be Anastasia Beverly Hills. They at least brought it to the masses and it is not everyone’s favorite, but I love it. Veronica is a taupe with a purple undertone. I find it very flattering and it is one of my favorite unwearable lipsticks shades. It is unusual enough to be different, yet wearable enough to be great for work.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Devoted – Not yet reviewed, but therefore not a bad product. This is one of my favorite red liquid lipsticks. Devoted is a great strawberry red shade and for some reason that is a difficult shade to do in a liquid lip. Many dry down darker than in the tube, which makes them look less vibrant. This does not and stays vibrant and juicy looking even after it dries down.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Morocco – If you’re looking for comfort over staying power than the Soft Matte lip creams are a great option. Morocco is my favorite shade. This is a bright orange toned red, which are my favorites to wear in the summer time. It is a great formula and the shade is on point.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick Viper – When it comes to Colourpop there are two camps: the Ultra Satin and Ultra Matte camp. I am Ultra Matte: the shades are better, the staying power is better, but yes it dries down very matte. I like wearing them OVER lip balm to make it a little bit more comfortable. The shades can be hard to get right as the swatches available can be misleading, yet Viper was a great hit.

Milani Amore Mattalics Automatic Touch – Milani Mattalics sadly was a limited edition collection and this purple shade, yes purple, was instantly a favorite. It is a vibrant shade that is perfect for spring. The metallic shine creates an interesting shade that is unlike anything in my collection.
