Random outfits #11

So this week, for my fashion post, I have another overview of 6 outfits I wore in the past few weeks. Temperatures are slowly rising which means my outfits are slowly changing too. There are still some more cooler temperature outfits in here too as days can start quite cool and warm up throughout the day. It’s been quite difficult to get dressed some days. Not because I have nothing to wear, but because I need to wear something that keeps me warm in the morning, but also has layers that I can shed later in the day.  

Random outfits

So these outfits vary from jeans and t-shirts to airy summer dresses and anything in between. Color wise it’s been a lot of red, white and navy. For some reason I’m just really feeling those colors at the moment. My favorite outfits here have to be the one with the red blouse and the one with the white dress. I really like those shapes on me and both have a pop of color that I love for the spring time.

This first outfit is a nice and simple one. I am wearing a gingham blouse by Monki. It is nice and boxy which I think goes well with the super skinny jeans. I rolled up the jeans to show a bit more ankle and put on my red converse sneakers for a pop of color. The blouse is actually quite special, but I forgot to snap a picture of it. This blouse has an open V in the back, so I also layered a black tank top under it to keep everything a bit more modest.

Another simple outfit, but I love the pop of red against the all black outfit. It’s how I love to pair bright colors to begin with. Especially pairing red and black works as it gives a nice contrast. Because of the fun polka dot pattern, this top can easily be a bit much but if the base outfit is basic, you have a perfect outfit. This was a very comfy outfit and I got lots of compliments on the top. I love putting red in my outfit.

This outfit is simple in its construction but I wanted to add a pop of unexpected fun: a pair of gold, heeled loafers. I knew I wanted to pair this top with this jeans instantly. I love the top as it is quite boxy and has a retro feel to it. The jeans are a newer addition to my wardrobe: a pair of Flared Jamie Jeans. Jamie jeans are already my favorite jeans, but this pair of flared jeans are my new loves. I do have to wear them with heels, but I love how 70s this makes everything look.

I mentioned we’re already having some very nice weather. There have been quite some summery spells and this is what I wore on one of those days. I bought this dress on sale with a 70% discount at the end of summer last year and so I hadn’t been able to wear them yet. Since it is sleeveless I paired it with this yellow lace cardigan that I love to wear in the spring & summer time. It is nice and airy, yet it still keps you covered. The shoes I have had for years and are my go to when I want to wear this cardigan. They just go very well together I think.

Talking about dresses: this is a new one as well. I showed it in my recent spring haul. I love the color combination of navy and mustard and the v-neck makes this a flattering shape on me. It is a faux wrap dress and it has long sleeves, which makes it a perfect year round dress. This is a dress I know I will get wear out of during fall and winter as well. I paired it with black to make the dress stand out more. The shoes are also a recent addition and they have a crackle patent leather effect that adds a nice texture to this outfit.

For the final outfit I’m showing you, I have paired a couple of my favorite items in my wardrobe together. I am wearing one of my favorite stripey t-shirt, my favorite cardigan that is super soft and comfy and a pair of shoes that I cannot get enough of. Since these shoes have a heel and a pointy toe I feel they go so well with these jeans. It definitely gives them a more updated look rather than a 70s retro one. I like how the t-shirt and the red shoes bring in that pop of red without doing too much.
