Random outfits #13

Unlucky number 13! But still, it’s already my thirteenth installment of this little series. I have been feeling lots of different outfits I’ve been wearing lately and so I quickly had enough outfits lined up for you. This one doesn’t have as much color as the previous one, as it is many black, greys, whites and earthy tones, but all of these outfits have a fun little twist, so let me take you to the close ups.  

Random outfits #13

So the weather has been pretty great lately, still there aren’t lots of outfits that are perhaps 100% summer time. Where I live, is close to the ocean, so the weather tends to be cooler and the mornings have been quite chilly. I’ve been doing bare legs/ open shoes plenty but I am still wearing a denim jacket to and from work. These outfits also incorporate some of my recently hauled pieces as well. Outfit number one is a super relaxed outfit. I had not yet worn this blouse that I hauled during last year’s summer sale. That is one of my problems sometimes shopping in the sale: it takes a while for me to get around to wearing the items. While I loved this, I wasn’t sure how to style it. But then I realized that I have a pair of shoes that match them quit well! So I wore those. I wore grey jeans as I don’t like wearing all blue. And what of course makes this shirt is that fun embroidered applique on the back.

This outfit is perhaps a bit dark, but it’s still summery! The jeans have a slit along the knee, which makes these perfect for a cooler summer day. I paired the jeans with an Urban Outfitters top I bought this spring. The belt was another recent find, but the shoes I have had for years. In fact, I bought these on sale years ago and they are a fun shoe that work well with many different outfits. I mostly wear them in the fall though, but on a cooler day when I wore this they work well as well.

I bought these trousers last spring at H&M and just wasn’t sure what to wear them with. Then I realized how much I love pairing khaki greens with whites and creams. So I grabbed this super old white top that is completely see through and I loved how it worked together. The pants are more structured so they go well with the lighter texture of the top. However, I still felt the outfit was quite plain, so I spiced it up with my cow print plimsolls.

This next outfit is another relaxed one. This was the time where it wasn’t so hot yet that I felt I still had to cover up a bit at work. So I threw on a cream cardigan as the top is sleeveless and it has some cutouts in the back. The top is super fun though: it has a gingham print, a scalloped edge and white embroidery. Because the top is quite statement I wore it with my light grey jeans. They are a pair of Farleigh jeans from ASOS. To play up on the blue in the top, I wore my navy sneakers to round off the outfit.

I love a bit of leopard print in my outfits and this blouse is one of my favorites. I decided to wear it as it is lightweight and floaty. For bottoms, I wore my pair of trusty linen joggers from Topshop. These are such a lifesaver when it gets hot as it means I don’t have to wear shorts, but can still keep cool. For shoes, I wore my black loafers from New Look. I love these as they are all leather and are super easy to wear at the same time. A black loafer is a great staple to have.

This last outfit has to be my favorite. It is again a combo of one of my favorite color combos for the summer time: white, khaki and tan. I wore a new shirt and my new espadrille wedges both from H&M. The blouse is super cute and flattering I find. It has a broderie anglaise pattern along the front panel, which adds a great texture to the outfit. The skirt is a summer staple. It has a button down front and it was a great find as I bust this out several times throughout the summer.
