After sharing some of my favorite makeup products for the winter time, such as blushes, I have one more for you: lipsticks. In recent years I have really found a few lipstick formulas that I love and that I keep going back to. In the winter time, I love wearing nourishing lipsticks, but I also like wearing some bolder, vampier colors. Today I am sharing my top 6 lipstick picks for the winter time.
Top 6 Winter Time Lipsticks
For this selection I have tried to go equal on high end and drugstore brands. I wanted to make sure I include both sides of the coin. I do have to admit that most of my favorite lipsticks are by high end brands, but there are a few drugstore picks that I love too. I have included links if I have reviews of these shades, so if you want to have a more in-depth look, then you can do so. Let’s continue and have a look at my 6 selected lipsticks.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dusty Rose – Dusty Rose is a great liquid lipstick. In the winter time I am not the biggest fan of liquid lipsticks, but for this shade I like to make an exception. It is a pretty dusty, warm shade and it works well with a lot of different looks. It is great with smokey eyes but also pairs well with more colorful looks.
NARS Audacious Bette – I only own one NARS lipstick. Bette was my pick as I was still looking for the perfect dark red that isn’t too berry. Many dark, vampy lipstick shades have quite a bit of purple to them and I struggled to find something that was a pure red. This is that. It is a very creamy, comfortable formula, but therefore also a bit messy as it does slide around a bit.
MAC Matte lipstick Sin – If there is just one dark, deep, vampy lip you get, get MAC Sin. It is a shade I go back to every single year and I just love it. If you have seen my Small Creator Tag than you will have seen it live in action: proof that I still wear this.

Catrice Ultimate Colour Legendberry – If you like a dark red lip and are looking for a more affordable option, then Catrice’s Legendberry is a good one to try. Not sure they still do this, but I recently wore it in my 3 looks 1 palette Throwback Tutorial and love what this looks like with a more neutral eye.
Maybelline Mesmerizing Magenta – But who says you need to go dark in the winter time? If you want to wear a bit more color, you can easily opt for a bright color too. I love wearing bright punchy, magenta shades in the winter time and this is my favorite.
Maybelline Colorblur My My Magenta – Another magenta option that I love, that I don’t think is still available, but that I still love, so I still have to mention it, is My My Magenta by Maybelline. These Colorblur lipsticks didn’t have a long stay in the Maybelline line, but I really love this one I bought. Rather than a traditional lipstick it is twist up lip pencil and it feels very nice and creamy.
