Nabla Skin Bronzing bronzer Ambra review

nabla skin glazing bronzing bronzer review swatch makeup look application ambra fair skin

If there is one brand I have slowly but surely started to try more and more by, it’s Nabla. This Italian makeup brand is one that I discovered a few years ago. I first fell in love with their eyeshadow (what else is new with me?), but after trying some of their complexion products, mainly their Skin Glazing highlighter, I fell in love with the brand even more. So when I spotted they did the same product, but as a bronzer, I knew I wanted to try it too.

Review: Nabla Skin Glazing/ Bronzing Bronzer Ambra

Nabla is a brand that isn’t super affordable. But there are two things that it has going for it: it is an indie brand and it is based in Italy. So if you are in Europe, it becomes a lot more accessible. The brand is available from several retailers such as Beauty Bay and Boozyshop, but also via their official website that ships internationally. This bronzer retails for €22 at full price, but if you can get it on sale it doesn’t have to retail for that much of course.

What does this bronzer have to offer?

Why not start by stating why I wanted to own this bronzer in the first place: the fact that I love the highlighter from the same line. I own Privilege which is a great peachy toned highlighter. But that’s not the main reason why I love it. The reason I love that highlighter is the formula: these products have a gel to powder formula but one that is never too creamy that it cannot be picked up by a brush like the Colourpop Supershock Cheek formula. This is a lightweight, glowy bronzer that I thought looked very promising, also for the fact that it is available in 4 shades.

What is the bronzer like?

You know when you try a product and you fall in love almost instantly? That’s what happened when I tried this bronzer. It has that same buttery smooth formula that I remember the highlighter to have. Ambra, which is the lightest available shade, works really well at giving my skin a natural looking glow. It adds warmth but is never overly orange or muddy looking on the skin. Because of the smooth texture, this blends like a dream and that adds to the overall natural appearance of this product once applied onto the skin.

What does this bronzer swatch like?

I can only describe the formula of this bronzer with one word: smooth. This feels almost slippy when you stick your finger in, but once applied to the skin this never looks like too much. This is that kind of bronzer that has enough pigment (as you can see in the picture) but that can also be sheered out easily enough. I personally found that this is is the kind of bronzer that I can just keep slapping on and it never looks weird, over the top or overdone. In short, a great versatile bronzer that can work year round.

Before/ After

Let’s consider these befores and afters shall we? Because you can only tell how good a product is one you see it applied to the face. If you stay tuned for tomorrow’s video then you will even be able to see the product live in action as I am using it in my newest get ready with me. As you can clearly see this is the kind of bronzer that just makes your entire face look alive, without it being super obvious that you are wearing anything. It just makes the difference between ghostly pale and healthy glow. Just the way I like it.

My final thoughts

Nabla’s Skin Bronzing bronzer in Ambra is a stunning product, but that was within my expectations of this product. I knew this would be good as the formula is indeed identical to the Skin Glazing highlighter I had already tried. This is the smoothest bronzer I have tried to date and the color is on point. I do think it may be a bit too deep in the dead of winter, but for the most part this is a good allrounder that I can see myself getting a lot of use out of.

Would I recommen the Nabla Skin Bronzing bronzer?

Yes! I would highly recommend this if you are in the market for a new bronzer. The texture is unlike any others I have tried and I really enjoy the packaging on this too with the clear compact that still feels very sturdy. It may be not the cheapest bronzer ever but it is a really nice one and it comes with a decent amount of product (6.5 grams). However I feel I never feel too much of this so I think this will last quite a long time before I use it up completely.
