What I Wore #15

Yes! I have another fashion blog post for you featuring 8 recent outfits I wore. I love doing these little updates from time to time to show you what I have been wearing and I have been loving pairing some of my newer in pieces. Now, I am someone who didn’t stop shopping during lockdown and that means I have lots of pieces that I haven’t really worn anywhere yet. I have worn them around the house, sure, but no one has been able to see them. So here you can also see how I have been wearing some of the pieces that you may have seen featured in recent fashion hauls. Here’s what I wore in the spring/ early summer 2021.

What I Wore #15 // 8 Recent Outfits

Can we see a pattern here? I can! I have been loving jeans and I got a bunch of new ones but also went back to some old favorites. Spring was quite cool for most of May and then we had a very warm spell early June and the second half of June has been very cool again. Hence the very different outfits that you see here. Let’s have a closer look!

Outfit 1 was an outfit I wore to go for lunch with friends. Lunch with friends! It had been nearly 2 years since that last happened so it was an exciting occasion. I am wearing a gingham print seersucker cotton blouse from Monki with the most stunning billowy sleeve. The jeans I am wearing in both outfits here and they are the Pax from Urban Outfitters with a raw hem in an indigo wash. For shoes I went with my patent leather Mya boots by Vagabond. Simple, yet effective and the gingham adds the fun element.

Outfit 2 I wore when I went bathroom shopping. I signed the contract so now there is no turning back and the big saving can begin in even more seriousness. I am wearing a sage green broderie anglaise front knot blouse from Primark, but I tucked the knot into my jeans. On top I am wearing a petrol linen and cotton blend blazer from H&M that I got on sale last year. The jeans are again the indigo Pax jeans from Urban OUtfitters. For shoes I am wearing my round toe sock boots from ASOS.

Outfit 3 is a bit un-me: where is the color?! But I have been really loving wearing black and white together lately. This was worn to work on a fairly warm day. I am wearing a black linen blouse from H&M. Now that I own a great pair of white jeans, I have been loving wearing them and these are the Voyage jeans from Weekday in a leg length 26 (which they only do online). I rounded out the outfit with a pair of classic Vans to stick to the black and white theme.

Outfit 4 is more like me. I wore this to work as well and I was actually going for a practice drive in a shared company car so I am not wearing the most fashionable type of shoes, but my Nike Internationlists have been my favorite shoes for driving a car oddly enough. The rest of the outfit I did put a bit more effort into but with a loud vintage blouse like this, you really don’t need to do much. Just look at those colors! I wearing it with my H&M petite slouchy jeans that are super high waisted and a bit thinner so great for warmer days.

Outfit 5 is a super warm weather outfit. It was close to 30 degrees that day and I was melting. So I am wearing a nice breathable outfit combined with some of my favorite summer accessories. The base of the outfit is created with a black ribbed racer back top from H&M. The fun in the outfit, despite it being black and white, comes from the polka dot midi length skirt from Monki (which I own in 4 different color ways and prints). Because it was hot and because I was just running errands and I haven’t yet broken in my new sandals from & Other Stories, I decided to wear those. I finished off the outfit with my favorite saddle bag from Mango and my favorite pair of sunglasses which are by Ray-Ban.

Outfit 6 is one of my favorites features here. Over the years I have picked up some cream and white bottoms and I just wasn’t wearing them. Turns out I just didn’t own many items I felt they paired well with but this year I invested in some blue tops and now I love wearing all those light bottoms. Here I am sporting a very H&M heavy outfit as both the linen shirt and the cream high waisted trousers are by H&M. For a bit of a retro vibe, I went with my new Veja V10 sneakers to round out the look.

Outfit 7 features my favorite color: red! And it also features one of my favorite recent fashion finds which is this red leather vintage jacket that I found at a vintage kilo sale. I am wearing it with an H&M t-shirt featuring The Beatles and I am wearing it with another pair of the Weekday Voyage jeans, but this time in a stone wash. To match up the red and white at the top of the outfit I am wearing my Nike Blazers which have the red swoosh along the side. A nice casual outfit that I wore to work.

Outfit 8 also feature a pale yellow blazer from H&M (which you can see in the overview picture at the top), but I mainly wore that as the weather was a bit strange. It was cool, but warm at the same time, so I wore the blazer as outerwear and whenever I felt chilly. But the main outfit was again black & white in its base. I am wearing another vintage piece that I picked up at a vintage kilo sale namely the black polka dot top. I paired it with my black Topshop mom jeans and I am wearing it with a pair of chunky loafers from H&M.
