Did you expect me to try more Beauty Light Wands? Well I certainly didn’t when I first reviewed the Glowgasm in Pinkgasm. But then Catrice did a thing and released to seemingly great dupes in their Disney Villains limited edition collection. So naturally I had to see just how similar those would be. But first let’s review these Beauty Light Wands of their own accord.

This is a 3-in-1 review of the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands. I have the Hollywood Beauty Light Wand in Spotlight, the Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand in Peachgasm and the Hollywood Contour Wand in Light/ Medium.
Review: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand Spotlight, Peachgasm, Contour Wand
It may be good to know that I didn’t pay full price for these. At €38 a pop these are expensive for what they are. However, I got these during Black Friday and got a 30% discount on my entire order so that made this a bit more worth it to me.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand Spotlight

I was still mildly interested in Spotlight after trying Pinkgasm. But after trying the Catrice ones, I had this inkling that the Maleficent highlighter might be the same. I will post a short on my Youtube channel shortly comparing this to the Catrice. But knowing Charlotte Tilbury this will probably be quite warm toned.
Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand Peachgasm

Back when I tried Pinkgasm the shade I was actually interested in was this. Peachgasm just always seemed better for me. I love a good peachy blush but this had been out of stock for ages as it is a very hyped up product. But when it was in stock for Black Friday I decided to still try it.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand Light Medium

The product that I was most nervous to try was the Contour Wand. I had heard so many people raving about it and it has been recommended I try it so many times by followers that I felt almost guilty that I hadn’t yet. But at the same time the shade just didn’t seem right for me. Since I don’t want to knock it until I try it, I decided to give it a whirl.
What do these swatch like?

With Charlotte Tilbury not always being the best for my fair skin with a cool to neutral undertone, I was pleasantly surprised how this worked out for me.
Spotlight is more of a golden champagne but it is very pretty own as it has that perfect level of sheerness.
Peachgasm also has a sheer glowy vibe and I love a glowy peach blush. So this was indeed what I had hoped Pinkgasm to be, but then so much better.
The Contour Wand looks alright but as I had predicted it wasn’t the best. It has a bit of a red undertone and is just a bit too dark for my winter skin. I am sure it will work for me in the summer time, but it’s too warm for me to be a contour. As bronzer I can make it work.
What do these look like on the face?

Here you can see how these applied. And I have to give that to this product: it is super easy to apply. I still don’t love the sponge tip applicator on these but it does make application quick and easy.
Top left is my cheek with just base. The top right is the Contour Wand, bottom left Spotlight and bottom right is with Peachgasm added on top.
As you can see these shades compliment one another very nicely and I love how they blend seemlessly into the skin. Especially Spotlight and Peachgasm work very well for me. The contour I have to be careful with. Just a few dots of it will do.
Should you buy the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands?

While I like these I am a bit conflicted on whether I should be recommending these. So many budget brands have been doing renditions in shades that may be better for different skin tones.
These are pretty and I love the look they create so I will hand on to them for some time to come. That said, these are expensive and I would only recommend buying these if you can get a deal.
Then there is the issue of how much product you get. You get a decent amount, but the product has a lot of air in, so the packaging quickly deflates and it makes it look like you get far less product than you actually do. If you cut it open you will find you actually do get as much product as the brand promises you’ll get though. The tube is just a bit big for the amount of product inside it.
Additionally I have never loved the sponge tip applicator. It is messy and once you have used it, you just never know whether there is still product floating around in it that you can use or if you need to squeeze out more. And if you proceed to squeeze out more product it is difficult to see how much product you are dispensing. Therefore I feel it leads to lots of wasted product which is another reason why you can go through these very quickly.
Overall I like the ones I have and I certainly don’t regret my purchase. However, just because I like these doesn’t mean that you have to run out to get it. If you have the cash to spare, these are a safe bet, but if you find them expensive, then I would hold out and get a good dupe from the drugstore.
