When it comes to brows Catrice can be a little bit late on the uptake. Nevertheless, they did finally decide to put out a brow pomade. Years after the pomade craze, but this isn’t just a pomade. It is a 2-in-1 pomade and concealer: one side is a brow product, the other camouflage. You can probably see how they are trying to play into the carved out brow trend. Better late then never of course, but with many pomades already on the market, how does this compare?

I never really got on the brow pomade bandwagon. Not one to overemphasize my brows by any means, I didn’t get the hype surrounding the Anastasia Dip Brow. But then I found the NYX Brow Pomade and was curious to try. It wasn’t my favorite, but then I came across the cheap and cheerful rendition by Freedom and decided to give it one more try.

Do brow products have to be expensive? That of course depends on your brow needs. I am of the opinion that brows is an area I can skimp on when it comes to my beauty expenses. My brows are pretty decent: a bit of filling in and some more definition is all they need to frame my face. No need to shape or reshape them (in my opinion), which is why I like to keep things simple and affordable. I decided to try some affordable options by Catrice and Essence.
