Garnier waterproof eye make up remover

Garnier waterproof eye make up remover

Talking about long overdue reviews! I am almost through my second bottle of the Garnier waterproof eye make up remover and not once have I mentioned it on here. Shame on me! Because this is a great little product that is quite affordable, does a really good job at removing make up, yet is gentle and non-irritating on my skin at the same time. Time to tell you all about it.

LOTD: Smokey blues

LOTD: Smokey blues

As I promised you two days ago: my hands were itching to create a make up look with my latest Inglot purchase. I decided to now only use all of the shades in my new palette, but also add some eyeliner and just go pretty much all out with different shades of blue. This is the result.

Because I wanted the focus to be on the eyes, I went with more neutral tones for the rest of my face. I used a very subtle looking blush and highlight and went with a neutral pink lip.

The items I used:

Face: Rimmel BB cream in light, MAC Select Moisture Cover concealer in NW20, MAC pressed Prep & Prime transparent finishing powder, NARS Laguna Bronzer, Catrice Candy Shock Limited Edition Multicolour blush in 01 Sugar Shock and the Catrice Candy Shock Limited Edition Multicolour highlighter in 01 Vanilla Love.

Eyes: Too Faced Shadows Insurance, MAC paint pot in Painterly, Inglot freedom system palette, Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof kohl kajal in 014 bright blue, Essence I ❤ Extreme mascara, Bourjois Volume Glamorous Max holidays mascara in 53 Electric blue, Inglot AMC liner in no 83.

Eyebrows: MAC omega eyeshadow, HEMA eyebrow gel.

Lips: MAC lip erase in dim, MAC Matte lipstick in Pink Plaid.

Close ups:

Here’s what I did to create this eye look:

1. Apply eyeshadow base. I used Too Face Shadow Insurance.

2. Apply a base color. I used MAC Paint pot in Painterly.

3. Apply highlight color Matte 352 on the brow bone and the inner corner. Make sure the inner third of your eye is covered in the matte shade.

4. Apply Pearl Square 420 over the rest of the lid. Make sure to blend the two lid colors.

5. Apply DS 482 on the outer third of the eye and into the crease, make sure you take this as far up as possible. Blend it with the brow bone highlight. Also take it through the crease towards your nose/ inner corner. Make sure to blend so there are no harsh lines.

6. I took the middle color of the Rainbow 116R pan and used that to blend the purple DS 482 with the highlight color.

7. Reapply highlight color.

8. Take the dark blue Pearl Square 428 color and apply to outer V and into the crease. This will deepen the purple color, so don’t cover all of the purple, but leave a margin so you get a blue/ purple/ fleshtone gradient. Blend well.

9. Reapply Pearl Square 420 to the center of the lid.

10. Apply the dark blue on the outer third of your lower lid.

11. Apply Pearl Square 420 to the rest of your lower lid.

12. Tightline your waterline (top and bottom) with a bright blue eyeliner).

13. Apply a dark blue/ indigo eyeliner to your top lid. You can wing it out if you like, or you can just stick to wrapping it around your tearduct like I did.

14. Apply a black mascara to your top lashes.

15. Apply a blue mascara to your bottom lashes.

Shopping Haul #2: Sephora, Lush, Bobbi Brown, Essence, Catrice, etc.

Shopping Haul #2: Sephora, Lush, Bobbi Brown, Essence, Catrice, etc.

Like I said yesterday, I also bought some beauty related items on my shopping spree. I was looking for a few things in particular, but of course you always come across more that you also want to try. Here are the things I bought:

Atrix Aloe Vera hand cream

One of the very few things posted here that I actually needed. My favorite hand cream (carried by my pharmacy) isn’t there anymore, as the pharmacy changed companies. So, I had to find a new one. I tried a few and love love love this one. It’s think and smell delicious. I love lathering this on my hands before I go to sleep.

Sephora Waterproof Eye Make Up remover, Lush Sweet Pie Shower Jelly, Lush Almond & Coconut Smoothie shower cream

I really needed the make up remover as I nearly ran out of mine. I’ve tried several different ones in the past few months but I really love the Sephora one and with a 20% discount this wasn’t even too expensive. I also ran out of my Swoosh shower jelly from Lush. So I initially went in there to rebuy it. However, they were out of stock, so I went with a different smell instead. Sweetie Pie smells like cherries and coconut, is purple and has blue sparkles. They promised me the sparkles would wash off… The shower cream is new to me so I still have to try it, but it smelled and felt delicious!

Lush sugar scrub with ginger

I love Lush’ sugar scrubs. I already tried the green one, so now it’s time for the white one. I like the smell of this a whole lot more so that’s a good start!

Catrice I’m a Star, Catrice I Wear My Sunglasses at Night

Nail polish! Of course! I cannot go shopping without buying some nail polish it seems. The first one is a nice earthy toned gold color. The second one is a dark purple with different colored sparkles. I generally like Catrice polishes so I’m sure I’ll love these too.

Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Shimmer Ink Ivy

Another thing I had set out to buy was a dark green eyeliner. I hate liquid liners and I had read online MAC had a limited edition in their Mac Me Over collection. Of course they had run out of that one as the collection has been out for some time, but then I walked past the Bobbi Brown counter and found this magnificent green color. It is amazing: it’s exactly the color I want it to be and I’ve heard great things about Bobby Brown gel eyeliners so let’s see how much I like it. I might do a review on this some time soon.

Catrice Gel Eyeliner in In Love with a Robot, Essence Gel Eyeliners in: Barefoot Through the Moss, Berlin Rocks, I Love NYC.

Two stores later I found that Essence has included a great dark green color in their collection. And they had a moss green colored liner in their limited edition line called NATvent Urista. Another color liner I wanted to try was purple and since Essence is so budget proof I decided to take that one with me as well. When I then found a great silver liner by Catrice I couldn’t pass up on that.

As you can see I went on a bit of a gel liner kick. I’m curious to see how well the cheap ones work and I can’t wait to try the Lush shower cream. Is there anything here you’d be curious to try?
