How often do you buy pencil liners? Myself, well I don’t do it too often. It’s one of those products where it doesn’t make sense to just keep on buying them. I’ve also had some bad experiences with dry, tough liners that didn’t stay put. So, not only is this a product I don’t buy often, it is also one I am critical of. But then one day I spotted the Kiko Intense Colour Long Lasting eyeliners and they were on offer and so I decided to give them a whirl.Read more
Kiko is an incredibly affordable makeup brand from Italy that deserves so much more love than it gets. Some of their items can be quite pricey, but they often do sales and other discounts so you can get the products at an even cheaper price very often. One their standout items to me are their eyeshadow sticks, but I have since also discovered their Water eyeshadow singles.

Kiko Milano is an Italian brand that I love trying items from. They make one of my all time favorite blushes and their eyeshadow sticks are great too. When I spotted they now also do highlighters when I visited one of their stores, I was curious to try it. I was umming and arring between this one for their standard collection and a limited edition one. Thinking I would get more wear out of this one, I figured I would go with the lightest of the three in their permanent collection.

One of my favorite blushes for fall? The one I’ll be reviewing for you today. I love a mauve toned blush in the fall time and if it’s matte: all the better. The Kiko Shade Fusion Trio blush ticks all the boxes for a blush I love. So you know this will be a raving review. Let’s get to it!

The best affordable cream eyeshadow? The Kiko eyeshadow sticks in my opinion. As you can see I have plenty, but I had yet to write a full review of these. Since these are some of my favorite make up products that are quick and easy to use and come in a variety of shades, you know this will be another raving review.

Haul time! Last week I showed you what I packed when I went to Rome, today I’m showing you the bits I brought home. Be aware: I shopped to my heart’s content. Why? Because Italy has Sephora, which means instant access to brands I can only dream of getting my hands on. So that is where my focus lies. I also shopped at Kiko and at an Italian beauty store where I bumped into The Balm, which makes this a make up laden video. Hope you enjoy!
I came. I saw. I shopped.
It’s spring so it’s time to bring out those brights and pastels when it comes to nails. And what color is more sunny and fun looking that yellow? Add a bit of cupcake sprinkles and you have the perfect recipe for a nail of the day that breathes spring time.
One of my favorite ways for playing around with color on my nails is by making some type of gradient. I sometimes do all 5 nails, or I alternate. I add glitters or as I did in this case: peach on the thumb and pinky, creamy yellow on the index and ring fingers and then a textured ‘cupcake’ nail polish on my middle finger. Easy peasy, but still fun!

The star of the show is this Kiko cupcake polish. This is a textured polish and I think it is supposed to look like you have cupcake sprinkles all over your nails. I only used the polish on one nail to try it out. The effect is quite muddy in a close up. However, from further away I like the effect this nail polish gives. The different colors add a hint of interest to the entire nail look and the texture makes for a nice break from the otherwise creamy polishes.
The other two polishes I used, are by China Glaze. Apart from OPI, China Glaze has to be one of my favorite nail polish brands. Finding a good creamy yellow nail polish, and pastel at that, is a feat. Most of them are streaky, do not go on opaque and need 5 coats to become a uniform layer. Lemon Fizz however, is a pretty pastel yellow shade that goes on opaque in 2 coats.
Peachykeen is a long time favorite nail polish of mine. It’s a bit more orange than a peach in my opinion, but I thought it would go well with the Kiko polish as that has some orange flecks in it. The peachy/ coral/ orange shade is perfect for spring and summer as it is a lot brighter than many of the other shades I own that are similar.
All in all this a super easy nail look that uses some bright, fun spring appropriate colors, combined with some clashing textures. And I love me some textures. I’m still a sucker for liquid sand polishes for instance, so this Kiko polish is right up my street.
