It has been ages since I last did a giveaway. I don’t do them too often, but I think it is time to give back. And for two reasons! On 4 September 2018, this blog, this little nook on the WWW came up on its 8th anniversary. 8 years! As if things could not get any better, I hit 1000 subscribers on Youtube last Saturday. So I felt it was time to organize a little giveaway to give back to all of you who have embarked on this journey with me and who are commenting regularly on my posts and videos.
The wait is over! Many people have been asking me after I posted my Catrice video, whether I would also be doing one on the new Essence products for the Fall/ Winter 2018. Of course I would! And today is the day. Essence always releases their new line a little bit later than Catrice and I got my hands on some pretty cool, but also some pretty bad products. Curious to see how I fared with these products? Then watch the video below!
Essence Fall/ Winter 2018 collection update
It’s time again for a new makeup collection release! I had gauged that Catrice would have to launch their new products for the upcoming fall/ winter season soon. Their Instagram was already showing sneak peeks and then I saw the products popping up in stores. I of course couldn’t resist to get some new products and put them on my face and try them out for you. Full reviews are still to come, I have only had these for a few days, so it will take some time until I get around to reviewing all of these. Let me know in a comment down below if there is anything in particular you would like to see me review first.
Catrice Fall/ Winter 2018
It is only a few weeks before the summer vacation and for me, as for most teachers, this means crunch time. It is super busy trying to finish everything before the vacation and prepping as much as possible for next year. This means working over time, grading during weekends and staying late to get everything done in time. In times like these, I like doing quick and easy makeup looks that take little effort to make. I thought I’d show you how I do a quick, natural, everyday looks that I love wearing in busy times or if I want to look presentable but don’t want to wear much makeup.

Say whut?! Yup today I have a pretty cool video for you. Well at least, I think it is cool. Because today I am sharing my updated makeup collection for 2018 with you. I did one of these last year, but that was before I moved and I kept my makeup in 5 different spots. Now that I have a new place and have more space, that also meant I could finally have a designated storage for all of my makeup.

When Essence renewed their line for spring/ summer 2018, the brand also launched a bunch of new makeup tools. Their entire range of brushes has been updated and I found a few in the new range that I liked and that I decided to try. How did I fare with these new Essence makeup tools?

Let’s talk cult beauty products for a minute okay? In the world of makeup there are these products that quickly and consistently have a cult status. In terms of makeup application tools, the makeup sponge, once shunned as a useless, made a huge comeback when Beauty Blender launched their revolutionary new sponge. And as with everything that becomes an overnight sensation, other brands started copying it. I already reviewed the Primark one, which I love. However, the original copy of the Beauty Blender is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.
