A pinky purple highlighter is one of my favorites, so when I discovered that I like that last year, I bought quite a few to try to see which one is my favorite. It all started with Becca Prismatic Amethyst and one possible, much more affordable dupe for that highlighter is the NYX Duochromatic highlighter in Lavender Steel.
Since I practically used up my Bobbi Brown pressed powder, I was in for trying a new powder. I decided to go with a drugstore option this time. And it is another yellow toned powders. This banana powder by NYX is one I owned for a while, but I hadn’t gotten round to using it yet. Banana powders are usually not my favorite as they are usually too dark for my skin tone. How does this work out for me?

NYX is one of those brands that you used to hear so many people raving about. I remember when I first got into makeup, NYX was one of THE brands bloggers and Youtubers raved about. If it wasn’t about their classic round lipsticks, it was about the individual eyeshadow in Rootbeer or that blush in the shade Taupe. Then the brand disappeared from the scene for a bit, only to come back stronger as ever. Time to review one of their eyeshadow palettes.

Blue lipstick is not everyone’s cup of tea, but as you know, I like trying some weird shades. I have a history of reviewing lipstick lines by trying a nude, bright, red and a ‘weird’ color if the brand does them. And lately that has led me to wearing some blue lipsticks in my recent videos. I have been trying blue lipsticks for a while, but had not yet found quite the right one. Will these blue liquid lipsticks by NYX be the perfect blue lip?

I am no too fussy about what I use for my brows. I have a bit of brow to work with and all I tend to do is a little bit of filling in and setting it with some gel. That’s it. I like my brow products to be easy to use and I find it important that the product I use is cool enough to match my brow shade. Shade wise, I can get away with almost anything, so I am not too fussy about whether a brow product is too light or too dark for me. So let’s see how I fared with the NYX Microbrow brow pencil.

Drugstore products hold my heart. While high end products may be top notch, I love finding those drugstore gems. It means it’s easier to find a dud as well, but at an affordable price point, I don’t really mind. So when I heard lots of great things about the NYX Prismatic single eyeshadows, I knew I wanted to try some for myself. These are my thoughts.

Is it too late to hop onto this bandwagon? I don’t think so. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are a standard in many beauty lovers routine and I wanted to know what the fuss was all about. I used to own one of these in Addis Ababa, but hardly wore it. Turns out that that is one of the worst performing shades in the range. So it wasn’t me. When I found out that some shades perform better than others, I decided to try some more. Now I know what the fuss is all about.
