A good affordable primer is hard to come by and so whenever I find one that sounds interesting I always want to give them a try. For their new fall/ winter 2018 make up line, Essence released three different ones and I decided to pick up one. Meet the Essence Prime + Studio Glow Boosting Primer.

Primer. I am still on the fence on which one I love the most. So I just keep trying different ones till I have a good feel for some of the offerings on the market. A recent primer release that I was looking forward to trying was the Smashbox Primerizer. I heard so many people raving about this when it first launched. It is quite pricey, but when I found it as a travel sized version, I knew I had to try it.

I haven’t had much luck trying super affordable eyeshadow primers. I have used some, one even by Catrice, and none of them did the trick for me. The most successful eyeshadow primer I’ve tried at the most affordable price point is the Milani eyeshadow primer. But now there is a new contender. Catrice have released a new eyeshadow primer for their fall/ winter 2018 collection. Is it any good?

When I did my video giving you an overview of what is new from Catrice for fall 2018, quite a few people seemed interested in one of the new primers. For fall 2018, Catrice have come out with several new primers and one of them is a hydrating primer. So far, hydrating primers are my favorite with the Too Faced Hangover RX primer being the best I have tried up to now. How does Catrice’s Fresh It Up Aqua Fresh Hydro primer live up to that standard?

Where yesterday was all about face sprays in the skincare range, today’s blog post is all about the review of some Essence makeup sprays. Because where sprays can be part of your skincare routine, they can also be part of your makeup routine. I have some experience with setting sprays, but a primer spray was new to me. These two launched as part of the Essence 2018 spring/ summer changeover and I have had some time to try them out after I bought them.

After trying this for weeks on end, I finally feel ready to review this product. In terms of face primer, I do not have too much experience, but that also means that I am going into these kind of products quite blindly. I don’t have a strong preference for a primer yet and all I know is that I quite liked the ELF Hydrating Primer. In terms of hydration, I have heard even better things about the Too Faced Hangover RX primer. So do I love it as much?

One makeup product that I introduced to my makeup routine in 2017 is primer. I was someone who never used primer before. With my dry skin, a primer just never really seemed like a product I would need. Until I discovered the concept of a hydrating primer. Because my skin could always do with more hydration. If it can make my makeup last longer to boot, then what a great bonus that would be. The ELF Hydrating primer is the first primer that I truly like.
