When a certain color comes up as a trend, it doesn’t just suffice to talk about eyeshadow palettes. Because colors do not have to stop at eyeshadows. Purple, being the IT-color of the moment is a color that is especially suited to be worn on different parts of the face. Purple blush? No problem. Purple highlight? Again, stunning if it suits your skintone. But also on the lips, a good purple tone can be incredibly stunning. Today I am showing you 10 purple makeup items that are some of my favorites.
10 X Purple
The tide is turning! The warm toned eyeshadow palette is slowly being phased out and that means that brands are creating a new makeup trend. And that new trend is: purple eyeshadow palettes. I am loving it! Whether it is using purple for a pop of color or creating a full blown purple makeup look: I am loving a bit of purple in my eye makeup. I think it suits me and that is why I am super excited about this new trend. In today’s video I have gathered 5 palettes from my collection and talk you through each one and what I think of them.

Day 2 of the 30 Day Make Up Challenge calls for a purple look. And when I saw this gorgeous by MUA, I just knew it was what I would be using to create this look. I made this look before I went to work and I was in a bit of a hurry and my eyeliner had a bit of a mishap. So I tried solving it by adding more eyeshadow over the top and I really liked the effect it gave. It’s a simple look, but with enough oomph to make it interesting, because of that magnificent purple color.
As you can see the purple is pretty out there. Since I have fairly deep set eyes though, eyelooks always disappear. But I like the effect here, where head on you just see a bit of purple lining my eyes and then when I look down you get that full on purple with a magnificent blue shade. And then to think that this eyeshadow cost only 1 pound!
As you can see a pretty full on purple there. I used some other purples as well to not just have one blob of the same color on my lid and that is black eyeliner that you see. I went with a fairly neutral pinky lip and cheek to make sure the purple would definitely pop.

What do you think of this look?
For some reason I felt like painting my nails in a dark purple color. However, once I had that on my nails I thought it looked rather boring. I was wrecking my brain trying to come up with a fun color to match the purple. Suddenly ‘gold’ popped into my head and this is what it turned out to be:
– Etos Extra hard nail hardener
– Diamond Cosmetics Metallic Venom
– China Glaze Midnight Kisses
– Seche Vite Fast Drying Top Coat
I used a dotting tool to make the dots. You can purchase dotting tools for a few euros off of Ebay.
