It’s the beginning of the month and that means that I’m showing you the makeup I used in the previous month. I know most people do a shop my stash at the beginning of the month to show what makeup they hope to use. But I’m fickle in my makeup choices: I decide the night before what I want to wear the next day. I go with my gut, decide on my mood what eye look I do. I just never know what I will be wearing, so I like doing these in hindsight. Here is what I chose to wear on my face in February.

I just recently found out that I had been labelling this post wrong: I did two posts titled December 2017. But we’re back on track and I will be showing you the makeup I used last month once more. There was definitely a theme here. I was really into matte eyeshadows, a neutral lip and I found another favorite cheek combo. I also switched up my concealer quite a bit and tried some new foundations. In short, I have lots to catch you up on.

Time for a montly recurring post: Shop My Stash. In this blog post I take you through my full face of makeup favorites that I reached for most during a given month. It’s a way for me to not only show you what I’m using, but also a way to challenge myself to use more diverse products, and to take you on that journey as I try makeup and adapt it to my seasonal and daily needs. Today, I’m taking your through my December 2017 makeup bag.

It’s December which means it’s time to show you the makeup I wore in the past month. Last month was all about high end face products, affordable eyeshadow, berry lips and I have been dabbling into primers and setting sprays. Especially those last two steps in my makeup routine are very new to me and are areas which I have just started to explore in the world of makeup. Here’s the makeup I wore in the month of November.

Last month was of course all about that DIY, so little makeup was worn. However, the past 2 – 3 weeks I’ve been back at work and that means: makeup! I’ve been loving a more natural look again, but with a pop of color on the lips. I’ve been loving bright fuchsias and of course that ultimate fall staple: the berry lip. Here’s the makeup I’ve been reaching for multiple times this month.

I’ve been totally into my cool toned shadows this month! Like the month before for days I was obsessed with one particular look. Created with the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, it was a look that I recreated with other palettes as well. The gist is a super shimmery shade on the lid, a muted neutral in the crease and a bit of liner in a darker shade. It’s neutral, it’s a bit smokey and it’s always cool toned.

I don’t usually fangirl over a makeup look, but this month… Oh boy! Let me tell you: I have found the perfect fall time look. It’s a bit bright and daring, but I think this is such a fun look and it suits my complexion quite nicely I think. Which is why I have included the look in pictures, so that you have an idea of how it all comes together.
