Essence You Better Work primer

Essence You Better Work primer review swatch look makeup application

Last Monday I reviewed the You Better Work Fixing Spray and that wasn’t working out too well for me as it gave me an allergic reaction. However that doesn’t mean that the product itself is bad per se as it got the job done just fine in the end. The primer from the same line didn’t give me an allergic reaction, but it definitely didn’t wow me either. These are my thoughts.

Essence You Better Work fixing spray

Essence bring out new products every 6 months and part of their spring/ summer collection was a full range of workout proof makeup. The You Better Work line is supposed to last when you work out or if you get a bit hot and bothered. And what is more perfect for a line like that than a fixing spray? I quite liked the other fixing spray I tried by Essence so this was worth a shot.

MAC MSF Mineralized Skin Finish Natural Medium Review Swatch powder mineral makeup

Today we are looking a bit closer at one of my OG, old time favorites. What we are reviewing today is a MAC Mineralized Skin Finish. Not the shiny highlighter kind, but the mineral makeup setting powder kind. This is a product that I have been using for years as a summer time powder. I completely used one of these up and I didn’t doubt a minute before I repurchased it, because this my dear friends, is a great powder.

Eyeshadow has to be my favorite makeup products but concealer is not far behind. As far as complexion and base products are concerned, concealer is definitely my favorite and I love trying and reviewing them. Today we are having a closer look at the Essence Stay All Day 16 hr concealer. A product that I have had for a long time, but that I had not yet rewarded with a review is the Becca Champagne Split in Prosecco Pop and Pamplemousse. This was a duo blush and highlight that Becca released in collaboration with Jaclyn Hill some time ago. The individual products are still available, so I think I can still review these products. I mainly bought it at the time as I wanted to try the Becca blush and highlight formula, so it was perfect to try it out.

Today we’re having a closer look at an eyeshadow palette that I have had in my collection for some time, but that I never got around to reviewing just yet. I am talking about The Balm’s Nude Dude eyeshadow palette. The Balm do some great eyeshadows and I think they are a very underrated brand. They are not my favorite, but I have tried their Nude Tude and Nude Beach palettes in the same line and generally enjoyed them. How did I fare with the second palette released in this series?
