A good facial SPF is a product I have struggling to find. I last reviewed one that was recommended to me by a friend back in 2015. While that worked fine in terms of SPF, it sadly didn’t work well on my skin in combination with other skincare or under makeup. It was too rich and after giving it a consistent try, I found it pilled off. This meant I was back on the look out for a good face SPF that would not only protect my face from the sun, but also looks good under makeup and preferably works as part of my skincare routine. You can imagine how great I thought this TBS Skin Defence SPF might work for me as it promises to deliver just that.
The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence
After trying and loving a €2 face oil by Kruidvat, I knew it was time to try a more high end version. Since my love for TBS skincare is well known by now, it should come as no surprise that I wanted to try one by them first up. I have tried serums that represent an oil and come with a dropper before (e.g. by Kiehl’s and TBS), but apart from the Kruidvat Almond oil, I have never tried another straight up face oil. Time to remedy that!

After trying the Kiehl’s Iris Extract Skin Essence, I knew I wanted to try some alternatives. It was the first skin essence I tried and it was a product I had never used before. So what is a skin essence? It is a step in your skincare routine that you apply after cleansing but before moisturizing. The product helps to have your skincare sink into the skin much better. If you have dry skin like me, it’s an absolute life save. So how did I fare with this The Body Shop version?

A good moisturizer is a must for me year round, but especially in the fall and winter when my skin gets drier I need something that works on my dehydrated, sensitive skin. Sadly, my favorite moisturizer of all time, the Olay Total Effects moisturizer for sensitive skin has been discontinued and so I’ve been on the hunt for a worthy replacement. Will this be it?
The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Moisture Lotion SPF 15 PA++
It feels like ages since I last wrote anything about The Body Shop’s bodycare products. The main reason for that is very simple: I haven’t bought ANYTHING from TBS since the Christmas season last year. I didn’t want to have to move kilos of shower gels and I figured I had plenty sitting around to keep me going for a while and so I didn’t buy anything from TBS for myself for a while now. So these may not be the newest ranges they have come out with, but these are the scents that I’ve been loving lately.

If I want to have a true pamper moment, I like using a face mask. I always think I should do it more regularly, but with my dehydrated sensitive skin, most face masks are usually a little too intense to use very regularly. My preference for face masks are ones that clarify and really give my skin a pick me up. So when I spotted this face mask at The Body Shop, I was intrigued to say the least.

I maintain quite an elaborate skincare routine, but it is one that works quite well. One item that I cannot see quitting any time soon is a more recent discovery: The Body Shop’s Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz. This face mist is not one to set your make up with, but definitely a skincare product. Here’s why I love it.
