urban decay after glow blush video afterglow review swatch fair skin pale skin

For all my love of all things Urban Decay and I hadn’t yet tried any of their blushes. Not a product many people rave about, but Urban Decay has a pretty strong line. After Catrice it is definitely one of my makeup brands and last summer I was just baffled that I had yet to try one of their blushes. I picked up two, today I am reviewing the first one: Video.

Makeup declutter 5: eyes part 2

Today I have another makeup decluttering video for you! I decided to split my eye video into two parts, because it would have been an hour long otherwise. So today I am bringing you the rest of my eye collection (minus eyeshadow palettes, those are in a league of their own). I will be going over all of my cream, stick and single eyeshadows in this video and there is a lot here, so let’s stop rambling and get on with the video.  makeup declutter eyes eyeshadow cream stick single mono

What’s in my bag

What’s in my bag

For this week’s video, I thought it would be fun to show you what I keep in my bag. Now don’t expect a super flashy designer bag edition (newsflash: I don’t own any designer bags), but I do have a nice and sturdy leather book bag that I have had since my freshmen year in highschool. I use it every day I go to work and even after a few repairs this is holding up well. Here’s what I keep in my bag!

What’s in my vintage book bag?

Current favorite youtubers

In recent months I have found a few fun Youtubers again that I like watching. And I thought I’d share. All these channels are beauty/ make up/ fashion related, which is what I tend to watch most. I also just realized that all these people live in the UK. So yay for the Brits! Let me know in the comments below which channels you like to watch!

1.) Niasays

Niasays is actually a law student living in London, but she’s originally from Hong Kong. She has an amazing sense of style. It’s quite edgy and not always my cup of tea, but I like watching her videos to see how I can adopt things for my wardrobe.

2.) PersianBabe

Again a uni student. Her style is more clean and classic and I love her haul videos. She somehow manages to find the best items and seems like an overall sweet girl.

3.) UglyFaceof Beauty

Gracie is probably my favorite in this bunch. She also has an amazing sense of style, loves shoes (woot!) and make up and also has a great sense of humor. Just watch the video to see what I mean. She’s definitely not afraid of making fun of herself.

4.) j1mmyb0bba

The only male in the list is Jim. His style is what I would call British prep, but I like that. He does great videos on men’s style and fashion and even though I’m a girl, it’s sometimes good to know what the other sex is wearing. And okay, I’ll admit, he is sorta cute too.

5.) pixiwoo

For those of you that don’t know pixiwoo: go hide or at least subscribe to their channel. If you want to see the amazing things you can create with make up, you should give these sisters a go. Just watch the video to see what I mean.

That’s it! My 5 current favorite youtubers. What/ Who are you watching?

Video: Room tour

Video: Room tour

I have been writing posts on this blog for more than 1.5 years now, but not once have I given you a glimpse into the space where I live, where I write most of my entries. Sure, you have seen my wardrobe, my book cases and my make up collection, but you have never been able to see it in context. Of course, those of you who know me do, but not everyone who reads this will be familiar with the space I call home. That is why I thought I’d make a quick video of my room. I have been living in this house for almost 10 years now. I moved into this particular room after 1.5 years. The layout has changed a few times since then, but it has pretty much stayed the same for nearly 5 years now.

The room measures 30 m2 (or roughly 90 ft2) and is located in a 17th century mansion on a canal in the city of Leiden. It’s officially student housing, but when I moved in here 10 years ago most of the people living in the house were people with similar situations to my current one: single, early working-life ex-students who need a place to stay before they move on to bigger and better things. Nowadays, even ordinary freshmen are put into the house, as there is a huge shortage of student housing in most student cities in The Netherlands. I happen to still have a permanent lease on the room, so I can pretty much stay as long as I like. Since I am trying to pay off as much of my student debt in as little time as possible, this place is still ideal for me, as rent is cheap and the location couldn’t be better.

There is only one housemate with whom I share the bathroom facilities, as well as the kitchen, so it is not too bad. The room is fairly big for student housing, which is why I’ve lasted so long in the same spot. I just got lucky when I first looked for a place to live. I keep all of my stuff in that one room apart from kitchen utensils and stuff I need in the bathroom. For a room that has to hold that much stuff I think it looks pretty neat and organized. I just have a lot of stuff and I try to store things in containers and behind doors as much as possible. It makes for a less cluttered looking space. I try my best anyway, but since space is limited there sometimes is no other way. It does keep me creative and my love for organization and cleaning things up comes in handy.

Anywho, this was my humble abode, if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below. Oh, and if you have pictures or video of your room I’d love to see that too.

Make Up Collection & Storage (incl. video)

I thought it was time to show you all my make up collection. I have been writing about make up purchases in the past, but I’ve never actually shown you what I have. So please watch the video below to see my make up collection:

As you can see, I went over things rather quickly. I will be doing regular posts from now on, where I will take pictures of parts of my collection. That way it will be easier to show colors and give you more insight on which brands I have and some of my favorite products.

Q: Which part of my collection would you like to see first?
