For a while now I have been wishing to veer into the world of niche fragrances. I got some testers to see what I might like and the stand out for me was Kilian Angels’ Share. This boozy warm fragrance stole my heart and so I saved up and bought it.
There are many places where you can buy this, but I decided to do the bougee thing and picked up while on a recent trip to Paris. Since this is a niche perfume, it is difficult to find any sort of deal on it, so you will have to pay full price and recently this fragrance has been going up in price.
Review: Kilian Angels’ Share
At €225 this is now the most expensive fragrance I own. It comes in a several sizes (I got the 50 ml bottle) and once you have the bottle you could just buy the refill if it ever runs out. Since this was so expensive I don’t see myself using this up any time soon and will mostly be using it for special occasions.
What does this smell like?
Out of all the niche fragrances I smelled and tested out this was the most memorable to me. If I was going to drop this much cash on a single product I knew I wanted it to be special and diffirent from everything else I own. These are the fragrance notes:
- Top note: cognac
- Middle notes: cinnamon, tonkabean, oak
- Base notes: praline, vanilla, sandalwood
According to fragrantica this is a boozy fragrance indeed. It part of the Kilian range that has more booze focused fragrances. I get a lot of booze with this, but also a spicy sweetness that lingers and lasts. That’s my main reason for liking this: I can put this on and I will smell this lingering on my skin the next morning.
Should you buy Kilian Angels’ Share?
I truly love this and think it is a more special fragrance that gives you that boozy rich sweetness but without it smelling too manly or overpowering. There is a sophistication to this that really brings it together.
So yes this is expensive but it is worth it. I did have this on a wishlist for more than 2 years though and only just recently caved. Many other niche fragrances do not interest me and I find them expensive for what they do. This is the only one that truly stand out enough for me to be buying a full size bottle.
