One thing about fragrance that I just love is that you just never know when you will find your next one. Prada’s Infusion d’Iris Cèdre was one of those for me. I got it as a tester, fell in love and then tracked it down.
The Prada Infusions line was one that was originally released years ago as a limited edition. Then it was brought back. The line consists of 6 variations that are unisex and can therefore work for anyone.
Fragrance review: Prada Infusion d’Iris de Cèdre
Infusion d’Iris Cèdre or Infusion de Cedre as it says on the box is a great woodsy fragrance that has a strong iris note but without it getting soapy. I fell in love with this as it reminds me of a more sophisticated less powdery version of my beloved Love, Chloe fragrance that was discontinued. At €150 a bottle this is one of the pricier fragrances in my collection but I got it at a discount, which is what I always recommend if you are able to.
What does this fragrance have to offer?
On fragranctica the scent profile of this described as woodsy, powdery and spicy and I would say that’s exactly what this is. The fragrance notes are iris, cedar, Tunisian Neroli, Incense en benzoin. To me this smells fresh, clean and it lasts well. It has a sharp note at first but it warms up nicely and that’s what I get for the rest of the day.
Is this the same as the Chloé? No it isn’t, but this is a great alternative for sure. I have been loving it lately as a great everyday scent. As it adds that freshness, like fresh laundry, it’s a scent that isn’t too heady and great for a casual wear or better yet: when you use it after you’ve just taken a shower. So yes I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a clean, powdery scent that isn’t overly floral and warms up nicely after a few minutes of wear.
