I found this challenge on several blogs and thought it would be interesting. It’s a lot shorter than any of the 30-day ones. This one only has 7 topics:
Day 1 – Vanity: Seven great things about yourself.
Day 2 – Gluttony: Seven guilty pleasures.
Day 3 – Avarice (Greed): Seven worldly material desires.
Day 4 – Sloth: Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5 – Envy: Seven things you lack and covet.
Day 6 – Wrath: Seven things that piss you off.
Day 7 – Lust: Seven love secrets
Yup, it’s the seven deadly sins. And I will hereby confess, not daily, but weekly of my sins. Starting today! So here is number one: Vanity
1.) My eyes.
I really do like my eyes. They’re a really dark, hazel/ brown color with long dark lashes. It’s easily my best feature. That is why, when using make up, I always aim at making them stand out the most. I like colors and looks that make my eyes pop. So just a bit of liner won’t do.
2.) My legs.
For someone so short, I have incredibly long legs. Me and my mom are as tall and my legs are about 10 cm longer than hers. No kidding. And they’re stretchy. I can easily sit on the floor with both legs stretched out and reach behind my feet with both hands and kiss my knees/ shins. I blame years of dancing and yoga classes for this.
3.) My skin.
It’s not flawless, but I’ve never had any skin problems. Just a few splotches of eczema on my arms as a kid, which I now know is related to my having hayfever. I don’t get any real zits, unless it’s that time of the month or I’m not taking proper care of it. Other than that, my skin is silky smooth. I wouldn’t want it any different way.
4.) My strong will.
I believe that you can do anything, as long as you set your mind to it and keep a positive perspective. That’s the rule I live my live by and as long as you keep trying and never give up you can get everything you want. It may take a while, or you may realize things later in time, but whenever I start something I see it through until the end. I hate halfassing anything. If it wasn’t for this characteristic I wouldn’t know how I’d live my life.
5.) My mood.
Most of the time and by that I mean 90% of the time, I’m in a happy mood. I just don’t see the point in sitting in a corner and sulk. Life is here and I’m trying to make the best of it, so why be in a bad mood about it? Things happen, but there is no need to dwell on them. I just try to go out there and have fun.
6.) My intelligence.
I’m not the smartest person on the planet, but I like being able to see that there is more to this world than black and white. Also, I like that I know that I have a brain and I actually know how to use it. In general, I think many people should try to at least do the same.
7.) My people skills.
I have good overall people skills. I’m good at picking up at moods of others, can help and am willing to help where necessary and am good at maintaining communication. I can interact with people with a different background than mine and am usually quite social. I’m easy to talk to and talk with and easily establish contact with others. This is what I think a) made me want to be a teacher and b) makes me a good teacher.
Q: What do you like about yourself?
