This past month my hair was absolutely hideous. It looked awful. I couldn’t wear it down and it felt dry in certain places too. It has been nearly 6 months since I last went for a haircut and since my hair just looked bad overall I decided to get it cut. Last time, I not only got a cut, but I also dyed part of my hair a bright red. I think that the latter didn’t do my hair any good and also the cut itself wasn’t all that appropriate. That’s why I decided to go to a different hairdresser. One I had never been to before. The girl immediately understood what I meant and was very helpful. Because my ends were so dry, a good part (about 5 cm or 2 inches) had to be chopped off. I also had my layers redone and had a mask put in that left my hair as shiny and soft as it never has before. Below you can find pictures of my hair right after getting it cut and from this morning after it had been washed and dried. Let me know what you think!
This picture nicely shows the length. As I said, there’s a good bit of hair gone now, but that’s okay. At least it’s healthy again. I would like to let my hair grow out a bit longer (about 10 – 15 cm longer) so keeping it healthy is the key for letting it grow.
Slightly different angle. Here you can nicely see the different layers in my hair. The hairdresser straightened my hair a bit to make sure the layers would transition nicely. They didn’t do that last time, which is why I was left with a tuft of hair in the middle, and no volume at the bottom. Now it’s much more one haircut instead of two.
My hair this morning. I took a shower last night and only put in some leave-in conditioner. I washed my hair with a volumising shampoo, but I threw that out (it was nearly gone anyway) as it made for these weird tufts to stand up on end in the middle of my head. Yay for hving consistently waivy hair again!
Look at that healthy bit of hair! I took this picture by accident, but I thought it nicely showed how healthy my hair is right now. The hairdresser used a special mask with keratine which really moisturizes and conditions your hair. You can literally see the light reflecting in my hair. Never had that before!
Now I just want to see how this cut grows out. I only go to the hairdresser’s twice a year and I liked how it grew out not last time but the time before that. I’m hoping this stays looking nice for a while so I won’t have to hide my hair in a bun anymore.

Not brought much clothes wise lately. I got some new jeans because I really needed some and a black and white checkered shirt (love them for summer for covering shoulders in mid-day heat.
