FOTD: Expensive Pinks

Published by

I have another make up look for you all! This time it features some pinks and browns. It’s a fairly neutral look, but with a bit of a twist and perfect for fall if you as me. I mainly used MAC, NARS and Rimmel to create this look, but I’m sure that with products from other brands you can achieve the same thing. Hope you enjoy!

Products used:

Face: MAC Face & Body foundation in C1, MAC Select Moisture Cover concealer in NW20 (mixed with Benefit Highbeam), MAC Prep & Prime Transparent pressed finishing powder, NARS blush in Sex Appeal.

Lips: Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks in 255 Cherry Blossom.

Brows: MAC eyeshadow in Omega, HEMA clear eyebrow gel.

Since this look is all about the eyes, there’s a few close ups below including how I created this look:

Yes, I know about the brows, but I am letting them grow out a bit more to maintain their natural shape.

Eyes:

All over lid: MAC Naked Lunch

Brow bone: MAC Vanilla

Crease & lower lid: MAC Expensive Pink

Outer V & outer third lower lid: MAC Antiqued

Eyeliner: MAC fluidline in Dipdown

Mascara: Maybelline One by One

All in all a neutral but fresh look. The NARS blush I’ve had for years, but I’ve been using it more and more as of late. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. The Rimmel lipstick to me adds a bit of spunk to the entire look. It brightens it up with a pop of color, but not so much so that it’s too much in your face. Any thoughts?

I love that lipstick colour! Does it actually moisturise?

Yes it does!!! It does slide a little though because it is so creamy.

Great, then I might try it!

The purple Rimmel ones are very nice liipsticks. I wore Rose Sorbet today.

I have to be very careful with lipsticks, esp in winter when my lips can be quite dry anywhere. Dry lips look bad enough without lipstick on them!

Oh tell me about it! I have the same problem. But what helps for me is to scrub my lips with either a soft (clean) toothbrush or with some face scrub while I’m scrubbing away anyway. Then before I to sleep I apply a good lather of rosebud salve to my lips and it works wonders!

I do pretty much the same, especially the lipbalm at night. Does wonders!
