I love spring tag

This has been going round the interwebs for some weeks now and even though it’s freezing out (still) and we’re heading for a White Easter, I think this post is still appropriate anyhow. I actually found two of these: one in Dutch and one in English and so I’ve fused them together and adapted it a bit to suit my needs.

1. Favorite spring nail polish?

Any pastel/ bright color will do, but there are a few favorites that I tend to wear a lot during this season. See picture:

2. What is your must-have lip product this spring?

Anything bright and shocking! I’m totally digging bright reds and pinks right now. However I’m also in love with darker colors. I think it’s more of an ‘in your face’ thing rather than a bright thing. As long as those lips stand out I’m fine.

3. How do you look your best for Easter?

Probably by wearing a cute dress, weather permitting. We never do anything too special for Easter so I’m not doing anything special outfit wise either.

4. If you think about spring, what makes you happiest?

Sunshine! Even if the sun isn’t out much now, it’s still nice to have more hours of daylight. It simply makes the days seem longer and I get more energy from that. Plus once it does get out, the temperatures will rise quickly enough for it to be tolerable so you can lounge outside and have a few drinks.

5. Favorite spring scarf/accessory?

I don’t wear scarves in spring. I wear them so much already when it’s colder that I get fed up with them when the nicer weather rolls around. No, I cannot wait until I won’t have to wear a scarf anymore. Cuz that means I can bust out my earrings again. I love wearing big statement earrings in spring and summer because they add just that bit extra to any outfit.

6. What spring trend(s) are you most excited about this year? (Makeup, fashion or both!)

I’m loving pastels, the neons not so much, but that’s because most neon colors don’t suit me. Pastels are difficult for me too, but I find it easier to make them work. I also like the black and white look as it’s so easy to combine items.

7. What song immediately makes you think of spring?

Any kind of surfy pop song, a la Tennis or Poolside. Makes me wish the sun was out even more.

8. Favorite perfume for spring?

Marc Jacobs Daisy.

9. What clothing items do you save for spring?

Light colored shoes and brogues! I love my brogues but they are so cold in winter. Can’t wait to bust those about again soon. Oh and jeans and t-shirts. I love wearing jeans and t-shirts in spring with a pair of sneakers. Ultimate casual look.

10. Which spring musthave is on your wishlist?

A lilac or lavender colored blouse or dress (or both). I’ve been on the hunt for one for weeks but can’t find that color anywhere yet. I found some at American Apparel but it’s a bit too expensive for my taste. Oh and those mint & white creepers I showed you a few weeks ago. But I may or may not have already purchased those… 😉

11. Are you a spring cleaner?

Yes! I’m a sucker for organizing to begin with, but once days lengthen and the sun pokes out its head a bit more I start getting anxious. I already cleaned out my entire kitchen a few weeks ago. Sorted through my records, my wardrobe AND my accessories and threw out a bunch of make up. Next project: clean my room from head to toe.

12. What’s your favorite flavor in chocolate easter eggs?

White chocolate or the ones that come with the praline filling. So good, but so bad! Come to think of it: I haven’t had any Easter eggs yet this year.
