NOTD: Greige not beige

NOTD: Greige not beige

For today’s second post I’m bringing you a NOTD I wore recently. I’m still loving the sand style or liquid sand type nail polishes. So when I was in Germany and checked out local drugstore DM, it was a no brainer to pick one of these up. I found this gorgeous taupe color from P2. A brand that’s only sold in Germany and I also picked up one of their longer lasting nail polish colors in a grey/ beige/ taupe color with a purple undertone. I decided to pair them up on my nails.

I applied two coats each and went with the creamy textured Last Forever nail polish in City love on 4 of my hand’s finger nails. As an accent color I used the Sand Style polish in Strict. And oh my god, I’m in love with this color to wear on my nails. I love taupes to begin with when it comes to make up, but this grey/ mauve toned beige is perfect for a classy look. I’ve been really into wearing these more neutral shades lately. But I couldn’t help myself to pop in a touch of glitter.

The sand style polish is really really nice. It’s longlasting and has that gritty texture of a sand style polish combined with a hint of sparkle. It’s like a densely packed matte glitter with a hint of shine and I think it looks stunning on the nails. Wearing this on all nails would perhaps be a bit much for an every day nail, but by adding it to only one nail (on my middle finger) I thought it amped up the look quite nicely. It is also quite difficult to remove, so I was glad to have it applied to only one nail when it came to taking this off.
