My favorite drugstore nail polish? Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints. The color selection is awesome, the application is great and the glossy finish is pretty. Not to mention the decent lasting power, even on my soft and brittle nails. So when I was in the UK and spotted a bunch of colors that I didn’t own yet, I had to grab them. Without further ado, I present to you: Fondant, Huckleberry and Kiwi.
Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint
Fondant, Kiwi, Huckleberry
Lately, the line has been expanded mostly with brights and pastels and some of them are super pretty. I love bright greens on my toes for summer and since some of these polishes cover your nail with just one coat, I thought this bright green would be a nice toe nail addition. They cost 3.99 pounds a piece for 10 mls of product. These are often on sale though, so when you spot a buy 2 get 1 free deal, it’s the best time to stock up.

The first shade I picked up is an interesting pastel pink shade. Is it pink or is it purple? I’d settle for a mauvy pink which looks great on the nails. I wore this one already and it is very pretty on the nail. It looks very fresh and it is a perfect color for spring.
Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Huckleberry
Huckleberry was a color that I contemplated buying for a long time. When you look at it like this it looks blue, but put it next to a blue and it will look minty green. And that’s why I ended up buying it. I’m a sucker for a good mint color, especially if they pull more blue than green as they are harder to come by.
Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Kiwi
Kiwi was the one I bought to round out the 3 for 2 deal. Like I said I love wearing bright greens on my toes. I already have a few but all of those aren’t exactly this shade (they are more neon) or contain glitter. So a bright green shade that is completely creamy made a good addition to my nail polish collection.
These new shades are as great as the other Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints I purchased. Their gel like effect is so pretty and they last a good few days, which are the main selling points for these polishes to me. Some of the shades I already own go on a tad streaky, especially the lighter shades, but these do not do that. Even the very light Huckleberry goes on creamy and smoothly and goes on opaque in two layers.
I feel these three colors make a great addition to my nail polish collection. They are fun colors, that are perfect for spring/ summer and I still love the formula to death. The next time I visit the UK, I will again pick a few I’m sure, because these are simply the best drugstore nail polish out there. You can see the other shades I own here and here. Perhaps next time I should pick up some darker shades?
What color would you buy from this line?
