It is officially summer! And so it is time to start off a round of summer appropriate posts. I thought a good start would be a bronze make up look with my new favorite lip combination. I wore this look in my empty products video last week.
Recently I have been very much into bronze eye looks again and I am pretty sure that is because there has finally been more sunshine. I love wearing warm bronze eye looks in summer time. I am more of a cool toned eyeshadow type of girl most of the year, but in summer, I bust out the bronzes and warm browns again.
For this look I used MAC eye shadows, but I have been wearing variations on this look for 2 weeks straight. I’ve used the Urban Decay Naked palette, Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette, Maybelline On and On Bronze Color Tattoo, a Make Up Forever Aquamatic eye pencil and my NARS duo in Isolde. So yeah, there are plenty of options for creating a look similar to this if you don’t have these exact shades.
On the face I went with all new products that I bought in the past month or so. I am still testing them out, but a review will be coming up once I feel I have been able to establish a well enough opinion on them.
The reason why I hardly use warm toned eye shadows is because I feel it clashes with my light skin and dark eyes. I tend to find dark eye shadows too dark on me too quickly. So I opt for cooler tones because I feel they are more brightening or more neutral on me than warm tones. But just one day I randomly grabbed my MAC palette again and did this look and loved it so much that I decided I had to wear it more often.
The lip combo I went with is one of my new favorite combos that I will be reviewing in more detail for you soon. But I thought I’d show you already what this looks like on. This is MAC Soar lip pencil with MAC Mehr matte lipstick over it. Fun fact: I bought this in London in early May and about a week later Lily Pebbles vlogged that she had bought the exact same combo. Ha!
