L’Oreal More Than Concealer

Let’s do a review that I am truly excited for. You know how much I like trying different concealers and when I found the new L’Oreal More Than Concealer I had high hopes for how it might work. I love the newest infallible foundation and this seems to have been launched as the accompanying concealer. So let’s see how I got on with the L’Oreal Infallible More Than Concealer.

L’Oreal Infallible More Than Concealer 323 Fawn // Review, Swatch, Makeup Look

When it comes to concealer, I love a good drugstore concealer. My two favorites are by Catrice and Make Up Revolution and both are very affordable around the 5 euro mark. This L’Oreal concealer is definitely more expensive than that. This retails for €13.99 which I think is steep for a drugstore concealer. Then again. L’Oreal is somewhat in the more mid tier bracket when it comes to makeup pricing so it does fit with the brand’s usual price range.

The Packaging

The L’Oreal More Than Concealer comes in a standard concealer tube. It has a giant doe foot applicator and the color of the concealer can easily be seen through the plastic. Other than that this has very straightforward packaging that is easy to use and store.

The Doe Foot Applicator

This is the first drugstore concealer I have used that has the big doe foot like the Tarte Shape Tape concealer. That is what this concealer also reminds me of the most. It does not only have very similar packaging but also in terms of texture it reminds me a lot of the Tarte Shape Tape. Like many doe foot applicators on the market this comes with a little well that holds most of the product. Because of it, I think there is quite a lot of product that can end up in one place. So I like dotting this around first and then using the empty applicator to spread it out to help with blending.

The Swatch

As you can see here, the swatch goes on quite full on and the texture of this concealer is quite thick. I therefore feel that you need to spread this out properly before you can blend it into the skin. Because of the thick texture, I had trouble blending this in if it is applied too thickly. It is best to try to make the layers as thin as possible because it packs enough of a punch and gives good coverage regardless. If is too thick, I found it can lift off of itself and leave bold patches. If you get the thickness just right, it blends in seamlessly, but it does take some effort to get it to blend.

The Application

This concealer is quite full coverage as you can see, but the shade match is excellent for a brightening effect. What I do very much like about this concealer is how it wears. It is almost as if this concealer locks itself into place and it won’t budge. This stays on all day, looking flawless. I wore it a lot during my trip in New York and even on long days it would stay on, wouldn’t crease and still look flawless at the end of the day.

My Final Thoughts

The L’Oreal Infallible More Than Concealer is a great one at the drugstore. It is a bit too heavy duty for my day to day needs, but if you are looking for a great full coverage concealer at the drugstore than this would be it. This is quite possibly one of the most full coverage, full on concealers I have found at the drugstore to date.

What full coverage drugstore concealer have you tried?
