Catrice Blush Box Warm Soul review

Part of Catrice’s new Fall/ Winter 2021 line up is another shade in their Blush Box line up. These blushes originally came in monochrome shades, but when they started doing this glowing & multicolour variety, they truly blew it out of the ball park. I already reviewed the other two shades in the line: Dolce Vita and It’s Wine O’Clock. Both have been very successful for me, so I was happy to see the brand come out with another shade. Let’s have a closer look at Warm Soul.

Review: Catrice Blush Box Glowing + Multicolour 030 Warm Soul

As the previous two shades this blush is very affordable. At just €3.99, these blushes are just affordable they are also as good as much more high end blushes. Even though I liked the first two already, I think this may have to be my favorite as this is quite possibly the most universal shade of the three that I think can work for my different people and different looks too. I love it when I find an affordable product that works this well.

What does this product have to offer?

So one thing these blushes have going for them is how stunning they look in the pan. From the embossed imprint to the way the different shades of blush are laid out in the pan: it all looks like a much more expensive blush and if you didn’t see the rest of the compact this looks like something Chanel would do. The thing that pulls this blush down is the packaging. This just slaps shut but there is no latch or magnet to keep it closed. That doesn’t have to be a problem, but I have had some of the blushes become so easy to open that if you don’t hold them right they open up and your nails get stuck in the product. But that truly is the only unfortunate thing here.

What does this blush look like?

So this blush looked very different once I got it home from what it looked liked online. I thought I had bought more of a mauve toned blush, but it turned out to be a warm toned pink. Still pretty but if you have only seen product pictures of this, you may be surprised to see what this actually looks like. What I like about it though is how these three shades blend together. You get three shades with two shades being beiges and one being a pink. Once blended together you get the most beautiful glowy pink blush that works with every look you do. And that while this looks matte in the pan.

What does this blush swatch like?

You can imagine my surprise when this blush swatched like this. What this reminds me of? One of my all time favorite blushes: Benefit Coralista but at a fraction of the price and without the strange Benefit fragrance. This has a beautiful shine to it, but without it featuring any visible sparkle or glitter to it. So when you blend this onto the skin you get the most beautiful natural flushed look that just goes with every look. The pink isn’t too pink and while warm toned, this is not overly warm either. In short, it has quite a neutral undertone and it will work on so many skin tones as a result.

What does this blush look like on the face?

As you can see here, the blush creates the most beautiful blush look on the skin. This is what blush is supposed to look like: still noticeable but still natural and like it is what your skin naturally looks like. There is a subtle glow and the shade looks lovely on. I really love the way this looks like and how easy it is to use. This is one of those blushes that never looks like too much, it never makes you look like a clown and it just adds the best color to your face.

My final thoughts

Yes, Catrice did it again! They can do a good blush and they have done just that with the new Blush Box in Warm Soul. While it looked a bit different when I bought it, I loved it once I started using it. This shade is so pretty and it goes so well with bronzers, highlighters and any eye makeup I have been doing this past month. Whether I did a cool toned look, a warm toned look, no matter the look, this blush just went with every single one. And that is exactly what I want in a blush.

Would I recommend the Catrice Blush Box in Warm Soul?

Yes, wholeheartedly. Even if this shade isn’t for you, even the other two shades are great and will give you want you want your blush to do. However, even if you think you just want to try a new blush and you don’t want it to cost too much than this blush is a great one to try. Because this is one the best blushes you will find and that is even taking into account much more expensive offerings. A good blush simply doesn’t have to be too expensive and Catrice proves just that!
