The brow product currently in my Shop My Stash? The Catrice Brow Pen Pro. I generally like Catrice’s eyebrow products, but they bring out new ones constantly so it can be a bit difficult to keep up. The Brow Pen Pro was therefore a product that fell a bit by the wayside for me. I was too busy trying out other products, but now that it’s been in my everyday makeup drawer for a bit I feel I still want to write a review about this one. Review: Catrice Brow Pen Pro 010 Ash Blonde
As with all and every Catrice product this is quite affordable. I paid €3.99 for mine at the time, but at present I can’t really find it anymore at EU retailers. I can still find this on the US Catrice website so if you are in the USA you will still be able to buy this. It is a bit more expensive thought at $9. But this is a good brow pencil and even at the higher price point I would say this is worth it.
What does this brow pencil have to offer?

I mean it’s a brow pencil, so how excited can this be right? Well it can be very exciting as this pencil will show you. It only comes in three shades, but the shade 010 Ash Blonde works very well for me. What’s more, this pencil comes with two cool features which you can see in the next picture. But what I have been loving the most about this brow pencil is that it is one that lasts. I have tried many brow pencils in my time and some will run out in as little as a few weeks, whereas others last you nearly a year. I like something more in the middle and after using this pencil consistently for the past few months and it not being gone just yet really hits that sweet spot for me.
What extra features does this brow pencil have?

Are they gimmicks or are they useful additions? I would say the latter. This brow pencil comes with a teardrop shaped pencil which makes it super easy to apply. Granted, it will not give you much precision, but I just like filling in my brow and this makes light work of that. The brush at the end isn’t your regular spoolie but what looks like an old fashion hair brush. And it actually works! If you want to brush up your brows, but especially if you want to diffuse the pencil even more, this is perfect for creating a very soft brow look. I am actually considering not throwing this away, but to keep it with my brushes once the pencil runs out.
What does this swatch like?

Online I can only find very exaggerated swatches. But this is what you get if you just use a light hand. The result? A pretty, soft, brown shade that isn’t super warm but also not too grey. For my blonde hair and darker brows that have every shade of blond from light to very deep in them, this is perfect. Many affordable brow products struggle being the perfect ashy brown shade, but this one exactly succeeds in being the right color while being easy to use.
How does this brow pencil apply?

Here you can clearly see the effect of the pencil if that is all I use. The first picture is my natural brow (which was in need of some plucking but since I get my brows threaded, I try to touch them as little as possible). In picture two you can see the effect of te pencil. This nicely darkes my brow up a little bit but the color goes so well with my brows you really can’t tell the difference. The tear drop shape makes this easy to use as the thinner edge can work perfectly in the tail of the brow while the thicker part is great for the start of the brow area.
My final thoughts

The Catrice Brow Pen Pro is a product I feel ashamed I didn’t review any earlier. I aim to always review all the products in my Shop My Stash, but somehow I just forgot about this one. I will be sad to see this move out of my collection and if Catrice still does this in a store near me I will certainly hunt one down and buy a back up. This is one of the best brow products I have tried in a long time. Does it beat my all time favorite? The Soap & Glory archery brow pencil? Not quite, because I still prefer the skinny shape, but this is a good all time second favorite for sure.
Would I recommend the Catrice Brow Pen Pro?
Yes I most certainly would! I love how affordable this is, I love the shade, I love the wear time, I love the shape of the pencil and I love that we get something else than a standard spoolie. It makes my brows look great and I can do my brows in seconds with this. If you can still find this, then get your hands on it, because this is a good one!
