When I graduated to Gold status on the Yesstyle website (yes that K-beauty love is paying off), I found a button that said they offered an affiliate programme where you can receive a product to try out. I could choose between a glitter eyeshadow and a skincare product. So I opted for the glitter eyeshadow and here’s how it went.
Lilybyred is a K-beauty brand that is available through Yesstyle. This products is described as a cream eyeshadow with pearl and glitter particles. It is available in three shades and should stay put while keeping the glitter in place without any added glitter glue.

This is a product that is slightly higher priced than some K-beauty products, but it is still quite affordable. At €11 at full price this can be great for a product, but as far as glitter eyeshadow goes, I have not found many I like. However, if a glitter can be used without it flaking off and causing a mess at the same time, I would be very very happy. And K-beauty definitely has products that fit that bill. Let’s see if Lilybyred does too.
What does this product have to offer?
I had never heard of the brand Lilybyred, so you may be as surprised as me to find that the brand has only been around since 2017, but has already released quite a few products that have gone viral. The brand focuses on a sweet mood (hence lily in the name) but at the same time embrace the bold creativity of all the shades related to red (hence red in the name).
This is a glitter eyeshadow that I wasn’t sure of when I received it. Many pressed glitter shadows I have tried have been a bit of a disaster. They are a faff to put on, end up flaking off after a few hours of wear and when taking off your makeup, you have to be careful to not get them in your eyes. However, this instance, again K-beauty brings the best formulas to the table to take something I thought I wouldn’t like and transform it to a wonderfully whimsical makeup product.
What does this look like in a swatch?
Because when I opened up this packaging I still wasn’t sure. It looked, felt and swatched like any other pressed glitter I have tried. But then I used it on my eyes and noticed it being something else. With a finger this is easily applied, and what’s more the pretty pink shade means it goes with everything.
I wore this to a dance event where I got sweaty and wore this shadow for hours on end. It never once flaked off my eyes and I didn’t have a trail of floated down sparkles on my cheeks by the end of the night either.
So this had excellent wear time as well. Morevoer, it was easy to take off and with a bit of my usual cleansing balm, this was gone within seconds.
Should you buy the Lilybyred Glitter Zone eyeshadow?
K-beauty has done it again! Leave it up to a K-beauty brand like Lilybyred to create a product that gives all the Western makeup brands a run for their money. So many go to brands have done glitter eyeshadow over the years, but none have worked this well.
When I first started trying K-beauty eyeshadow and found nearly every palette and product has actual glitter in it, had me skeptical. But now that I have tried a few formulas, I have found they are far superior. They are rich creamy and easy to use formulas that do not get glitter into the eyes nor does it fall down your cheeks.
This glitter eyeshady by Lilybyred fits perfectly within the experience I have had using K-beauty eyeshadow so far. It is a great way to spice up any basic eye look or if you just want a bit of extra sparkle for a whimsical look in your day to day. If you want to try a glitter eyeshadow that actually works, the the Lilybyred Glitter Zone glitter eyeshadow is worth a shot.
