When I announced I wanted to try more BB creams, THE no. 1 recommended BB cream was the Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream. I love a good BB cream but the wonderful world of K-beauty can be difficult to navigate. So let me be your guide and tell you more about the Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream.
In case you don’t know, this BB cream is the one that set off my quest to finding the best BB cream out there. I just forgot to review it. I already tried this last year and loved it, so writing up this review is just something that still had to happen. So let me rave about a great base product.
Review: Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream #21 Light Beige

As with many K-beauty products, this is also quite affordable. It is currently on sale for €7.70 but it retails for €11.00 at full price which is still a great price point all things considering.
What does this product have to offer?
The Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream is one that I had heard a lot of hype about before I decided to buy it. Like many BB creams is offers skincare properties on top of it being an SPF and a base product. This should have a soft, dewy finish and be super blendable while being good for your skin.
One thing that stands out with this is what it looks like when it comes out of the tube: it looks grey. When you start spreading it out you can see the grey tone disappear and it blends into the skin. So this is one I would recommend you keep working into your skin to get the pigments ‘activated’ and have it look more natural.
What is the shade match like?
This BB cream is available in 6 shades. Shade 21 Light Beige is the one I have and it is not the lightest shade available. You can see here that it blends into my neck very nicely so the shade match looks to be quite spot on, despite it going on grey at first.
Texture wise this is a thicker cream that feels very comfortable on the skin. One of the benefits of BB creams is how much it feels like actual skin. Wearing this just doesn’t feel like wearing makeup and on my dry skin this stays looking nice for a good amount of time.
What is the coverage like?
The Purito BB Cream has a lightweight coverage despite the thicker texture. This feels like a thick moisturizer more than anything. The more you work this into the skin the more natural it will look. Not just shade wise but also texture wise. I feel this is best applied with fingers or a brush. It gives coverage where I need coverage and it still looks very skin like on. The only reason why this gets knocked down a point is the longevity. While it wears well throughout the day I do feel it starts to emphasize some texture around my nose after about 12 hours of wear.
Should you buy the Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream?
As far as BB creams go I think this can cater to a lot of skin types and therefore many different people. This isn’t super glowy, neither is it too matte, but the finish is more satin. I would say this is best for dry to normal skin, if you are very oily this may be a bit too much for you.
The creamy texture means you can apply this on the go and the tube packaging makes it perfect for travel. A little goes a long way so even with daily use I think you can get a good amount of wear out of this.
Another reason why you might like this is the fact that it has 6 shades available. For a BB cream that is quite good as some don’t come in any shades, so having 6 is something. That said, Light Beige, the shade I have is the third shade up, so this is probably not the best if you have deeper skin.
