Review: Lisa Eldridge True Velvet lipstick Velvet Intrigue, Velvet Fawn, Velvet Affair, Velvet Petal, Velvet Blush Lightly, Velvet Cinnabar
The Lisa Eldridge True Velvet lipsticks are not cheap. At €32 these are a luxury purchase which is why I have been posting my reviews on here in batches. I simply buy a few at the time from the official website and that is how my collection has grown slowly but steadily. To me, it’s well worth it and by now the Lisa Eldridge lipstick range has pretty much taken over my lipstick collection.
What do these lipsticks have to offer?

In this round up, I have a few of the shades that I saved for last. Some of the lighter nudes that I thought might not work for me and some of the shades that were newer at the time. The result is nice overview of some nudes, a pink and a beautiful red.

And I mean what’s not to love with these? From the golden tube with the most satisfying magnetic closure to the velvet look of the bullet itself: the attention to detail is insane. What’s more is that even though some of htese shades aren’t perfect for me, the undertones still go really well with my complexion. With Lisa Eldridge lipsticks I just feel that you get what you pay for.
How do these lipsticks swatch?

Since these swatches were the first time I used them, they start a bit tough at first. But once you break through that initial layer, you get one of the richest, creamiest matte formulas on the planet. It’s longwearing, doesn’t need touching up and has great pigmentation every single time.
