I used up my beloved Essence Make Me Brow so that means it is time to move on to something else. So let’s test out the NYX Thick It Stick It brow gel. Is this as good as my all time favorite?
I picked this up in the shade Cool Blonde. It comes in 7 shades in total which is a good number as far as brow products go. The shade cool blonde is the second shade in the line up but it is the lightest one available which may be good to know.

This retails around €12 depending on where you buy it. It is currently on sale for me at several places as well so you can get this for under €10 if you wait for a sale. It comes with 7 ml of product but it is still about 3 times more expensive than the Essence one that I love so much.
What does this brow gel have to offer?
First of all this product is vegan. It is a brow gel that contains fibers and can be build up to your desired intensity. It should be long lasting and create a fuller brow look. The brush is quite big as you can see here, but that should also make it quick and easy to use. This should create a fluffy brow look that lasts all day.
What does this brow product look like?
For the most part this delivers on all its promises. The one thing I don’t like? The big brush. It’s just a touch too big for my liking, but it works really well. The colors is nicely light and cool toned enough. It looks a little bit warm toned in some lighting but it works well for the most part. It lasts all day and it takes an oil based cleanser to take off.
What does this brow gel look like in the brows?
As you can see here the results is a fluffed up, full brow look. I do always use a pencil first so it’s not just the brow gel but you can see clearly what this brow gel does if you compare picture 1 and 2. The colors is a good match for my natural brow hairs: a bit lighter than my own hair color. I love the way this makes my brows look but the big brush does mean this is a bit messy.
Should you buy the NYX brow gel?
While this is the tenth brow gel I have tried to see if I can find one to replace the Essence one, this one yet again does not beat it. That doesn’t mean this isn’t good. By far this has been one of the better brow gels I have tried in a long time. It has a good shade range, lasts a long time and looks natural in the brows. What more can you wish for?
