Have I found my favorite cushion foundation to date? This may very well be the case because for once I have found a cushion foundation that doesn’t look heavy, cakey, too dry, applies easily, wears well AND even better: it has the right shade match. Let’s review the Peripera Mood Vegan Glow cushion in 01 Pure.
Before we dive in I would like to point out that I struggle finding this online. There are retailers that sell this, but it is out of stock on many websites. So was this discontinued? It could be and right when I love it! Why does this keep happening to me? Every time I love a product it ends up being gone. Oh well, the search continues if this is really truly gone.
Review: Peripera Mood Vegan Glow cushion 01 Pure
This cushion is one that isn’t super expensive. However, it doesn’t come with an extra compact which means that this would run out quickly. Cushion foundations come with notoriously little product so with everyday use you can easily use this up within a few weeks. So while this is only €16 on Yesstyle, it is one that will not last long in terms of cost per wear.
What does this swatch like?
But those would be the only downsides to this product. Look at that swatch! It is light, it is pink toned and it has the most beautiful dewy finish. It hydrates my skin, has great coverage and a little goes a long way. I typically dip my applicator into the cushion three times: once for every cheek my nose and chin and then another time for my forehead and temples. With just a thin layer this looks like skin, but you get great coverage.
What is the shade match like?
So far, many of the cushion I have been testing out have oxidized quite dramatically on me. With most complexion products on the market being yellow as a baseline, I was suprised with how pink this was. This is a close up of my jawline blending into my neck and you can barely see a difference in color. This is my exact match!
What is the coverage like?
With some redness and dark spots in my skin, I am always looking to cover that up. But as you can see this looks natural yet still very nicely covers everything. Facing forward I feel this even looks a tad light on me, but it is a great shade match in my neck. But that may just be because I am not used to finding shades that are this pink toned and light at the same time. Once the makeup is fully done I feel this looks flawless.
Should you buy the Peripera Mood Vegan Glow cushion?
I think this cushion is one of the best ones I have tried so far. As much as I love it though if this is getting hard to find then don’t try and chase it down. I don’t think any makeup is worth that effort, but I also think that here. If you do have easy access and you are looking for a good cushion this can be worth a shot. Please remember that this only comes in 3 shades though. So finding your match may be difficult. I just got very very lucky.
